A new painting and story in my Animal character series: Agatha Thistledown

Agatha Thistledown held sternly to her old reliable teapot, and tried her best not to let her annoyance show on her face.

She'd just had tea in the cottage with lady Tabby, which at normal times was trying, but today held a special frustration.

"Thank you dear Aggie for an 'interesting' tea and do remember to mark the date on your calendar, Ta ta" Lady Tabby slid close to Agatha, almost upsetting her teapot, and was off in her carriage in a dust cloud of bewigged footmen and far too much French scent for Agatha's liking.

Agatha fumed at being called Aggie, but that was the least of her worries. Thank heavens her silly sister, Lavinia, had been up at the old Hall helping Lady Sybil (she'd taken to quickly to that creature, distant cousin or not) when Lady Tabby called. How was she to tell her about the cottage. How was it to be born?

Agatha's moved changed from anger and frustration to sadness. She turned and looked at their dear old cottage, where they'd both been born; where they'd nursed their mother and then years later, their father off to Heaven. And now, to think, it'd no longer be theirs...

How ever did Lady Tabby come to own it and how was she to bear their having to sell it off Of course she and her sister could never afford it...what was she to do?

I hope you're enjoying my characters as much as I am making them. And since I'd done Lavinia's story before, I wanted to introduce her sister, whom I mentioned in that post.

Here are a few of the layers in GIF form:

I hope you enjoy her and her little story. I'd wondered where they'd go, the sisters, as the story is often a surprise to me as well, as it just sort of formulates in my mind as I sketch and paint and such.

Thank you for joining me today and indulging me in my little paintings and stories. I hope you find a moment in your day to indulge in your own passions.
