Hungry | Drawing with the Note 10+

in OnChainArt4 years ago (edited)

I have been so engrossed doing a lot of reading lately, hence my lack of drawings. It's bad enough that I can't stop reading once I start, but I also couldn't let go of the urge to read more after finishing a book.

I have been so engrossed that I even forget to eat. One night, I unconsciously said, "Oh, wow. I haven't drunk water at all since morning." Or even eat a bite of food. And that was the truth. It was very late at night when I felt tge slightest hunger.

That contributed largely to today's prompt.

Hungry

She was in love with many things. With colors, with people, with music, with paintings. Then she wanted to fall in love, but at that moment, it seemed that Cupid had other plans. She fell for food instead. Cupid must have struck the wrong heart.

Cupid must have struck the wrong heart.

Hungry on NFT Showroom

This had been a really quick speed painting that fell somewhere between 1 and 2 hours of work. Just real quick, enough to get me back to an art mood.

This is also actually tokenized in two editions over at NFT Showroom.

Drawing Hungry

I was meaning to try Clip Studio Paint (CSP) once again, but I really wasn't confident using it. I have grown so accustomed to everything in MediBang that switching to another art program scares me.

For instance, the pencil tool I use in sketching here and in every other drawing I'd made so far in the last few months is so nice to use (in my opinion). In 100% opacity, the pencil tool felt translucent and fun to play around in sketches. Meanwhile, In CSP, the brush textures looked exactly how they would IRL and months of exposure to MediBang made it difficult to adjust. xD

I contemplated how this drawing should go and decided with an apple as an archery target on top of her head. Initially, I thought about a frog on top of her head, but that defeats the hungry prompt.

The eyeglasses were a last minute addition. I wear big, round eyeglasses like the one in the drawing. I thought that including something I have in real life will make this drawing more personal.

Notes

When I Twitter-shared my first minted artwork on NFT Showroom, someone asked me an interesting question. He asked in what way would my career in physics be incorporated in my art (or something along this line). I mentioned deep learning, but I haven't really thought deeply into it yet.

I was scrolling through Twitter and found a GAN-developed face generator at work in a video. I got excited. I wanted to create one, only in my own art and art style. As of today, I would make it a point to dedicate a few hours everyday to try to create something like this. Of course, this isn't an easy task. I have a long list of other things to do for work, but I can't wait. T_T

It's amazing. I don't know about me, but I've noticed that you are making excellent progress with your illustrations.
