A 'DRAW THIS IN YOUR STYLE" CHALLENGE I TRIED OUT!

To start with, Happy New Year, Lovely People!🙂 I'm wishing you the best of whatsoever you ask for and set your mind to achieve this year.

So, I was scrolling through Instagram just as I do normally, and I came by this Post by someone I follow - @mrmattzan, I really love his works and he is someone I look up to (His creativity, Art, Content is just on another level). He drew a kind of Forest Spirit, more like Groot in Marvel Cinematic Universe😏.

I really loved the challenge and decided to hop in, cos since I started my professional Artist Journey last year, I haven't participated in any DTIYS, cos I hadn't joined any Art Community to participate in such and I was still in my learning stage, trying to improve on my Art🤠.

I started recreating mine and it literally threw my off balance, it seemed so so easy when I saw mrmattzan's photo, doing mine made me see what it took to do something close to that😅. I felt like I was so pushed to try out something I have never done. Like, it was so so not my style of Art.
Moved the file several times back and forth Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator cos I was so clueless on which of the tools will give me my best work, until I finally settled on Adobe Illustrator.

Just tried to make my own character a bit muscular (well, not a bit after all😂), tweaked the axe to be double-headed, and added a loose belt to the waist.

I really loved the line Art so much cos I had to do a lot of sketch before finalizing on this. Now, to my colouring!

It took me up to 11 hours to finish up the colouring cos of the thought process. Often times, I'd just pause and be clueless of what to do next. I was sitting for 3 hours at a stretch and taking breaks between just to clear my head.

Still stayed on it because despite it being so difficult for me, this is something I enjoy doing😊. Eventually, my Coloured Piece emerged and I found it so so beautiful, was so eager to show it to the world, so I posted it on my Instagram Page and tagged MrMattzan. He loved it, commented on my post and reposted to his Instagram story!😇

It literally meant the world to me. Check out my finished work!😃
