Hello, everyone!
Not much of a complete painting here this time. Instead, it's more like a revisited old paint-sketch something, not sure what to call it. There you go.
I'm not sure what to say over this, honestly. I've been feeling pretty depressed for quite a while now. I guess the job search affected me a bit. I feel both mentally and physically exhausted. I'm slowly accepting the fact that I'll never be good enough. Haven't made peace of the fact yet, but in the process of accepting, yeah.
So... I decided to take things slow and from the start. I don't know. I need to find the joy in drawing again. I've lost the motivation, the creativity, the joy. I often just stare at the blank page like that.
I guess I'll just "show up" for a while. At least I'll try to. Without any expectations, not only from the viewers, but from myself as well. Maybe that'll get the gears running like they used to years ago.
Progress
Unfortunately I don't have much of a progress on this one. It was a really old sketch I did when I was having a similar mood. It resonated with me when I found it, so I poked it around a little. Just small, subtle tweaks. You can see the changes here;

Art can be a great therapy. It's touching how you used your past work to help you through your hard time now, I love that. Great to see a new post from you!
Thank you! Art is quite painful for now but old stuff can be both helping and even more depressing, haha. I miss being creative constantly, but also seeing that I did it before, it makes me believe I can do it again. I'll try to get that flow back now :D Thank you for the support again!

I was also sad when I was doing the job search because a lot of companies rejected me. I felt I didn't do well enough, or maybe something's missing in me. Although I know I'm doing well in my job, the rejections says otherwise.
Fast forward, I got hired and is doing well now. I think it was the right timing to get this job. Everything just fell into place.
I hope it will also happen to you soon.
Don't give up just yet. I believe you are doing well and you are really artistic and creative. You have a lot of ideas, and I'm sure you'll land on that job that is meant for you.

I'm trying to not give up. Well at least not give up hope, haha. I'm not sure for anything else right now. The creativity and ideas... Sure not here right now, haha. They'll come back, I hope :D

Depression, sometimes inevitable can be conquered by will. For you to write here, means you have a strong will. See you at the top mate. Nice art by the way.

Depression is something I've been living with for the most of my life now. It comes and goes but sometimes, like now, comes in hard. Eh, I'll fight with it as far as it goes. Sure took me courage to write this but sometimes venting the feelings on a keyboard helps. I had to hold myself not to vent more, haha.

Oh it's been welling up for a while now but at last the bubble popped, haha. My mind sure wanted to write more but I stopped myself from doing so, eheh. Gotta keep the composure, no?
