-It's spring outside -

in OnChainArt5 years ago

It was sunny day in April.
We were already in lock down for some time.
I went out for quick grocery shopping.

And than I realized, it was spring outside.
Warm, sun, flowers blooming in neighbors gardens...and we were locked inside.

This painting was inspired with that moment and thoughts.
That horrible feeling of being trapped not able to enjoy in spring that is awakening.

The painting is awesome as always but I really like the concept behind. This year feels like watching a bonfire on a YouTube video and trying to get warm.

:) You made good point with bonfire, it's feeling like life is happening without us this year, We are just silent witnesses.

Very, very good artwork Even I got that feeling from your work. I like the way you colored the clothes. Beautiful!.

Thank you! Clothes are my favorite detail also, it took time to think out exact way to manage that part of the painting.

Love the concept and style.

An inspired visual metaphor to capture the feeling of being trapped!

Thank you :) Yes that was feeling, being trapped and nature was bursting freely.

Maybe it's just me but I can feel the subtle claustrophobia, locked away and time is frozen, trapped in winter as nature cyclic like nothing is changed... and for nature time still moves.

In isolation and stillness, exiled from nature, we only have those immediately close and we are forced to anchor one another for a reference outside ourselves to have a grasp of our being in time. Placing the two people beneath the growth and among the cold rocks is pretty cool and communicates that absence of spring.

At least that's my read on the piece.

Awesome work!!
