It's been quite some time since I posted on Hive. There's been many things that have kept me busy, and which took priority over posting regularly on Hive. But here I am, back again to show you some of the things I've been up to.
The above image is of my most recently completed painting, which is a commission for a collector in Sweden.

We went through a process whereby he'd explain the idea, I would return with a draft image, he clarified further, I would rework the draft and offer my own suggestions, repeating the process until we agreed upon the final draft.
The painting ended up taking several months to complete as I was juggling several projects at the time. When I finally completed the other competing projects and focused solely on this artwork, I was faced with the realisation of the enormity of this painting. There was just so much to do.
These photos of the painting details give you an idea of some of the work involved. Further, while I was working from a reference, there were many areas in the painting that developed later and added extra time.
This is one of the largest and most complex paintings I have created yet, as the bulk of my artworks in the past ten years have been small works. I'd relish the opportunity to work on another painting as involved as this one is.
