Human Leg Study

20230412_122522.jpg

It's been a while I practiced a human leg.
Achieving a realistic result of a foot can be challenging especially when it is in an unusual position. This particular piece is not exempted as I rallied to get a good feel of a foot from the top view.

If one us not careful, he could ultimately end up sketching something else especially since it has to do with pen.

If you want to get such result, you will have to understand the shape by getting an accurate outline - as you can see in my first step - and rhythmical flow of your strokes according to the contours of the leg you are working on. Study the veins around it.

This piece was done with a blue ballpoint pen on a cardboard paper using scribble style. You can see my steps below:

It is beautiful

Lol, thank you!

Excelente trabajo con el dibujo

Muchas gracias👍

Wow those lines must take so much practice to get them right and look realistic. Love your use of ink and the shadows that seem so natural.

A few of the pictures didn't load but this is a nice piece!

Yeah, cross hatching comes with its own challenge cause you would have flow in same direction over and over again and then turn back to the opposite direction in order to get your desired forms.

I think it's great too that you add these fake gridlines to give it a stylistic look. When you're so good at freehand, you add fake gridlines so people's head don't completely explode

Hahaha😆😆
Yeah, I just felt like adding it after I was done with the outline sketch, I didn't even know why😄

such a good and interesting picture of the legs But only one side maybe if the two legs will be even more interesting later

Yeah, just one part of the legs. That was the focus. Perhaps I would try both nest time.
