Scarf painting, explaining how to make your perfect scarf

in OnChainArt3 months ago

Today I decided to share with you my scarf drawing technique.. although I'm not that skilled when it comes to painting scarves, I think I managed to find a good technique for painting it..
Accessories:

  • scarf of material and size according to your wish
  • silk dyes
  • water
  • brushes of different sizes

1.First step: Find the right colors. I use silk dyes that are water-based and can be thinned even more with water for some transparent varieties.

2.Step Two: Find the material you want your scarf to be made of, then sew and wash it. The scarf is washed because that way it absorbs the color better.

3.Step three: Surrender to your imagination and let your hand take you where it wants.

4.Fourth step: When you're done, leave the scarf to dry for 48 hours, then iron it without steam and wash it by hand in cold water with a little salt and vinegar. Make sure the water is colder because hot water can remove the colors. The manufacturer of the dyes I use says that the scarves can be washed in the machine at 30 degrees, but I must admit that I have never tried it because I was afraid that all the effort would go to waste.

Finally, I must mention that there are special colors that are used for contours if you want your color not to flow beyond a certain place.

This is the last scarf I painted this month... it's a scarf I painted for my sister who is obsessed with flamingos. In the following, I will show you how the production process went and the final result.
