Hey Hive!

We're back again with another Art Attack! If you're new to the series, this is where I share my drawings and the process behind them. A behind-the-scenes look at my artwork, if you will. This is not to say that I'm very good at art, or that I'm a professional in any way. In fact this is the opposite, and serves as a reminder to how I first started, and lets me track my progress too!

So I've shared about my journey of streaming on Twitch and some art I've done for my Twitch channel in the past month or so when I did my first emote showcase:

These are special emotes only available for subscribers to my Twitch channel and I didn't realise how much other art would have to be done! Because it's not just emotes that can be customised but also badges! Badges are special icons that users can put beside their name in the chat that will show up on different Twitch channels! There are many different types of badges on Twitch such as when you send bits/cheers on a channel! Each bit is 1 cent, and there are so many bit badges up to 5 million bits?!

I noticed that not a lot of streamers actually do this but I thought it'd be cute to have my own customised badges as well and make them cat themed, but different?

For the 1 bit badge I had something simple in mind; a cat holding a coin and kinda biting it like Olympic medalists do! For the colour scheme I referenced the Neko Atsume cats which I think are so adorable!

So this was what I came up with, which I thought turned out really well! I modeled the coin after the coins in Super Mario World but made it more round and smooth. And I think the colours I chose was cute too!

Here's the timelapse:

For the 100 bit badge it was basically the same idea but with a dollar bill instead and I decided to draw some swaggy shades too to make him look cool! I also used a different colour pattern to make the dollar bill stand out and I made the dollar bill have my normal tacocat avatar on it too!

And here's the timelapse!

I thought they came out pretty well and I loved them so much! But then I was kinda stumped on how else I could change the cats for the higher bit amounts. And I actually came up with a pretty nifty idea for the rest of them! Tune in next time to see them!

Thanks so much for reading!
