The phrase “hundred flowers blooming” means “a wide variety of flowers blooming in profusion. It can also mean “a large number of outstanding individuals and excellent achievements all at once. It also means “a large number of beautifully dressed people in a row.
In any case, I think the dazzling and beautiful scene is well expressed in this picture.
Recently, I have been feeling down and it has been difficult for me to paint such a flashy picture, but I think I did a good job with this one.

「百花繚乱」
ミクストメディア、45.5x53cm、2024
「百花繚乱」とは、「多種多様な花が咲き乱れること」という意味です。またそれが転じて「秀でた人物が多く出て、優れた立派な業績が一度にたくさん出ること」という意味もあります。また「美しく着飾った人がたくさん並ぶ」様子を表す言葉でもあります。
いずれにしても、まばゆく、美しい光景がこの絵ではよく表せたと思います。
最近は気分が沈みがちなこともあってなかなかこういう派手な絵が描けませんでしたが、これは自分でもよく描けたと思います。
