Birth of Gloomy Woodpecker

Do you know where Gloomy Woodpeckers come from? Well, let’s join @arrr and discover the fine art and birth of this amazing and scary creature.

Probably many of you have been wondering - where did the Gloomy Woodpeckers actually come from? Well, deep in the basement of the city, still in the ancient districts, techno-larvae invaded and local residents took eggs from them for scrambled eggs.

As soon as Moloch units managed to get to the larvae queens, Moloch's dark scientists modified the DNA, and the scrambled eggs grew into a Gloomy Woodpecker that sowed scare in the City.

A Remaining Light : Failed summit attempt turned photo mission

Do you want to see where @saraboychuk is taking us this time? Take a closer look at the perfection of the photos and bathe in the amazing sunlight while exploring nature.

We start the journey at Panorama ridge which is a fairly well known location in BC for its astounding beauty.
For context, here is an image from a summer trek at 02:00 to catch sunrise on the ridge.

Reflecting on this trip it made me realize there is always a light at the end of the tunnel. Not every summit attempt is successful- and that is okay. There is still beauty and fun to be had.

Mommy's Mental Health - Chapter 2: ADHD, Mogwais and Gremlins

@clairemobey takes us on a journey of self-discovery and struggle that motherhood can bring to all of us. When wanting the best for your children is not enough and the system fails you is there anything you can do?

Well, read this amazing piece and you might be surprised to discover how everyday people are managing to stay above the negative and focus on getting better and growing with their children.

When I was 11, I remember falling in love with a boy in my class: exuberant, curious and energetic. I remember his magic and his struggle to fit into the confined boxes, created by the unrealistic expectations of institutions, academics and cold hard judgement of those who were meant to be there to guide and care for us.

Instead of climbing walls with hyperactivity, we became the forgotten girls. The dim girls. The girls in the corner. The nerds. The weirdos. In the shadows. Alone yet safe in our disassociation.

Family Road Trip to Utah (Part 1)

Are you ready for a family adventure with amazing stories and photos? Explore Utah with talented @alfredomora, his family, and even two mini dachshunds, and get ready for all the surprises.

I am the vacation planner in our family. I have always wanted to explore Utah, especially the national parks. After some research, I found that the best way to do that was to rent a fully loaded sprinter camper van.

Next up was Canyonlands. On a whim, I drove to this overlook which I had never heard of before. Imagine my surprise when I first saw this the winding river in this massive canyon. It was an incredible sight to see for the first time.

On nightmares and characters, and a few things in between (II)

Ending today’s showcase with the talented and majestic @beautifulwreck who takes us on a journey to the subconscious and dream realm. This piece leaves us terrified and wanting more, the perfect combination of compliments any writer would love.

Today's post is a continuation of yesterday's, where I decided to share with you a nightmare I had during my teen years. It's probably the most personal post I've ever written, and it shows in the lack of comments it got, I think.

Even though it was about 4:30 in the afternoon, the sky was darkening with a translucent reddish hue. Suddenly, as I gazed absentmindedly at the garden, wondering about the whereabouts of the rest of my family, I saw a gigantic black figure looming over me through the glass, and I feared I would never speak to you again.

@Curie Thank you so much for featuring me in your curation post.

I feel exceptionally honoured and touched that my story reached you, and seems to have struck a nerve with quite a number of people.

Writing this piece and the others in my Mental Health blog has shown me that my experiences, which I thought were unique (and a bit lonely), are quite universal and it's my mission to lift misconceptions about the struggles of motherhood and mental health in general. I'm meeting so many wonderful people along the way who are inspiring me with their shared experiences to keep on writing.

Thanks again for your lovely review and for curating my content.
