Classic Movie Review: Charlton Heston in Peer Gynt, 1941

According to the Museum of the Moving Image the silent movie era spanned the years 1894-1931. Yet, Peer Gynt was released in 1941 as a silent movie. This fact alone suggests how audacious the filmmakers and actors were in creating this film.

The movie was voted among the ten best amateur films of 1941 by the Amateur Cinema League. David Bradley, who produced, photographed and directed the film described the rationale behind its development in an article he wrote in 1942.

The Old Town Of Lovran: A Journey Through Time And Beauty

My family and I celebrated New Year's Eve in Istria, Croatia, in the company of our friends. On the first of January, we all went on a trip to the nearby town of Lovran, where we spent a few pleasant hours and had a lot to experience.

Lovran, a charming coastal town, is located on the eastern coast of the Istrian peninsula and is a popular tourist destination known for its mild climate, beautiful beaches, and picturesque old town. The town also has a long history, with evidence of human settlement dating back to Roman times. Therefore, the town has numerous historical and cultural attractions.

"Let's Make a Salad?" 😀 Two Acrylic Flow Art Pieces

I hadn't done any acrylic flow art in a while, so the other day, I grabbed my paints and two canvasses and went to work. This particular type of flow art is created by blowing around colorful paints by means of a hairdryer or similar implement on a bed of very thin white paint. This technique is referred to as a "Dutch Pour".

Proud as a peacock of my accomplishment, I showed the results of my labors to my hubby Folker after I was done. His laconic comment was "Nice lettuce. Hey, if you paint one more and add a little balsamico we can have a tasty salad..." 😀

Surf trip, first day of waves - Surf trip, primeiro dia de ondas [ENG|PT-BR]

Last Sunday we arrived at Praia da Taíba.
Praia da Taíba is a breathtaking location known for its beautiful scenery and thriving water sports scene, especially kitesurfing and surfing. We arrived there on Sunday afternoon and had the chance to take a quick surf before exploring the area to find a place with good internet access for my work. I found that place at an establishment called P.A.S. na Taíba, which stands for Surf Support Point at Taíba.

Dear Esther First Impression An Incredible Experience

Hello, friends. Today I will talk to you about an incredible game that I just started playing. I have to say that even though I share the visuals of the game, you should definitely play it yourself.
I will try not to give spoilers as much as I can, but this game is a bit psychological and in your own head, trying to understand what is happening as you discover new things.

Color Grading Silhouette Footage

Color grading silhouette footage can be a challenging task, luckily using DaVinci Resolve, a powerful and comprehensive post-production software, can make it much easier. Here are a few tips on how to color grade silhouette footage in DaVinci Resolve and tackle the challenges involved.

Understanding silhouette footage
Silhouette footage refers to shots where the subject is in front of a bright background, creating a clear outline around the subject and effectively making it almost black.

The southern coast of Montenegro - a reunion with the rocky shores of Dobre Vode and Utjeha.

The very south of Montenegro, the rocky coast, the very salty sea, my famous sentence when I was a little girl watching the magical sunsets "the Sun went to the sea to bathe", then the friends I met there, we had our boat, harpoon, we took out sea urchins, mussels, octopuses, that's where I learned to swim, to dive, that's where I fell in love, the place where I spent a crazy and unforgettable summer with my best friends. I must mention that in one period it was not a happy time, the nineties were a time of hyperinflation and collective depression when the salary was worth literally 2 eggs.
