Hi everyone, I played a rapid game and I wanted to screen record it and post the video as I analyzed every bit while playing, However power got cut off and I lost the recording. I finished the game but I decided it was worth sharing especially the opening phase. I'd try playing more and record with move by move analysis during the video.
Nemcy (2027) Vs @samostically (2218)
I played e5 agaisnt 1.e4 and I just decided to play that, I don't usually play it but I felt going back to my old repertoire isn't such a bad idea
The opening was very interesting because he played Ng5! Variations of the Italian game.
Been a while I came up against this and I have a secret weapon against this and in this game I demonstrated how to play as black against this line.
First I replied with 4.d5!
This move is important because it stops the fork on f6. After Exd5! Its important not to take back, unless you fall for the fried liver attack. Instead I went for the gambit with Na5!
This makes it interesting. What my opponent didn't envisage is that, I was about to sacrifice another pawn.
After Qf3! I played the silent Rb8. Sacrificing the pawn on c6. The idea is to go two pawns down but have the bishop pair and open lines to attack freely.
In this position, you can see ideas like Rb6, Bb7, but. Very easy for black to play as long as time is properly used and the pieces are placed on their best square.
White managed to castle however still behind in development and the not so placed knight makes it difficult to play.
White blunders
Up two pawns, white could have just developed but instead picked a third pawn on a7
From here, white is lost, can you see how?

Conclusion
I rarely play rapid games but I'd do more often and explain my ideas hopefully they help people that watch improves. I'd play and get a recording next game. Till next time.
