Dear chess fans,
the second round of Season 13 was played yesterday as a 5+1 Blitz arena. 37 players were showing up, with an average rating of 1827 (slightly less than the 1849 from round 1). Welcome back @yazp after such a long time! From 11 players I still don´t have the Hive user names, so please drop me a note in the comments or in the Lichess chat (even saying "I don´t have one" is fine as well). In the meantime it was confirmed that @maestroask (Odnoobraz_bcm) is indeed IM Odnoobraz. Apparently it is allowed per the Lichess rules (and common practice by titled players) to have more than one account.
@maestroask won this time again, but only very close, ex aequo in points with the runner-up, @lucianosky (Pavarotty), followed by - only two point behind - @sawko and @yazp (zulukill) as third and fourth. Congratulations to All!
The biggest upset in round 2 was this victory of @vasigo against @rosmarly (rating difference 782) by flagging. It was strange that @rosmarly took so long for 15 moves only. I assume she had some technical problems, but the rules don´t allow for any exceptions. So 1 Hive and 5 LEO go to @vasigo.

After 2 rounds @lucianosky (Pavarotty) with his good result managed to jump to the Top 3, also @eniolw could improve himself and is now 5th. The biggest gainers in round 2 (+11 each) were @samostically and myself, after the poor result from the first round. In the next rounds there will be less and less big jumps, but I still hope to stop playing so badly and get into the Top 10. Of course this depends also, how regular the strong players will attend.

I definitely played better than last week, so that's great. Though I've noticed that I've been under performing as regards my rating. I need to work on that.

The tournaments are getting bigger, better and stronger. I was late for the tournament struggling to get my rating out of the thirteen hundreds. However I believe I had my best performance :).
