Hi chess fans!
Are you missing the regular chess events on the blockchain? Can´t wait for the next season of Friday, Saturday, Pizza or CBL tournaments?
To bridge the summer gap, tomorrow Friday, the 19th Aug., at 19h GMT I offer a fun chess event for all, who have time and the braveness to join this special tournament! OPEN TO ALL SKILL LEVELS. All you need to have is a free Lichess-account. 70% of the rewards of this post go into the next season´s price pool. The winner gets 5 Hive!
Mode: 4+2 (4 minutes per game, 2 sec. increment per move), 60 min. arena mode with no streaks. Berserking allowed.
Tournament Link: https://lichess.org/tournament/y7GELkrm
ATTENTION! There will be some special rules applied, so please read them carefully!
The rules:
- A win by checkmate gives an extra point to the Lichess final ranking
- A draw before the 30th move loses a point
- A win by flagging in a losing position (>2 according to Stockfish) -> 50% reduction of the points achieved
- A win against an opponent with >250 less rating points -> 33% reduction of the points achieved
- A win against an opponent with >500 less rating points -> 66% reduction of the points achieved
- A win against an opponent with >250 more rating points -> 33% increase of the points achieved
- A win against an opponent with >500 more rating points -> 66% increase of the points achieved
Example: If someone with a rating of 2100 wins against a 1800 player, instead of 2 points, he will get only 1,34 points (if he had berserked, he will get 2 instead of 3).
If someone with a rating of 1800 wins against a 2100 player, instead of 2 points, he will get 2,66 points.
These rules are an experiment, but theoretically one could apply them to a regular event as well. Let´s see how this works out!
Good luck for tomorrow and I hope that you all can participate!

Woo, I'll be there. This new rules seem interesting, and may help us smallfish compete, lol.
We still have to win games to benefit! (lol)
Hehe, true
Am I? ;-)
Is that really logical?
Imagine I am leading by 3 points in the last round and play against my hardest concurrent. If he wins by checkmate he will get 3 points (and had the stronger opponents). He playes very well and soon my position is lost.
Question: what will I do? Play until the end an let him checkmate or prefer to resign so that he only gets 2 points instead of 3? :-)
(To make this rule effective, probably you would have to subtract points from players who resign instead to play until checkmate - but even then they could prefer to run out of time instead to allow a checkmate ...)
Well, I understand that all that is not meant as 'science' but just for fun, so it is alright of course. :)
In that situation you can resign of course anytime, by this "stealing" the third point from your opponent. The intention behind this rule is rather to honor surprise mates which the opponent didn´t see coming, or to penalize for not seeing a mate in 1 :)

Ich habe mich gestern auf Lichess angemeldet und schon einige Partien zur Übung gespielt.
Derzeit stehe ich auf knapp 1600.
Ich bin voraussichtlich heute Abend dabei. 20 Uhr MESZ?
Super!
Nein, 21h unserer Zeit!
Not playing well. (but should have a chance for top three) … :).
Hehe, Goodluck
My rating is still fluctuating, I can’t imagine how you will calculate. But overall the idea is correct
Then please participate with your real account, @pereu4ivatel. Group accounts and apparent secondary accounts are not counted, this is an adhoc rule.
especially for hivers, as part of the creation of a paraakk for tournaments according to the rules of the chess kingdoms, I switched to a new acc.
The special rule is not funny, I can just not play
So you are not going any longer to play under pereu4uwatch? Why not, I didn´t get it.
I burned ratings for lichess and chess.com in the name of the škingdoms)
Still don´t get it. OK, you lost some rating, so what? That account still exists.
no, in order to keep statistics in tournaments of the chess kingdom, a player needs a paraakk - the same names on the chess website and on the blockchain. My current nickname was borrowed here and there, I wrote about it in posts that no one reads. (But which are the best chess content))
I'm missing it... See you tomorrow!
Go 👊
Awesome, I will try and join!
Ok this I love!
good stuff
Hello! Thank you! I will be there!😉
Love this
Ratings do not bother me at all - I can give. I'm just showing with my own example how paraakks are made that make it easier to keep statistics
paraakks?
yes, that's what paired accs are called
I was always thinking, that when you tell me something, you want the other to understand. But I was wrong. You don´t want people to understand you, do you? What is a paired account? And what has it to do with the fact that you want to use a new account instead of the existing one. However this is my last question, I am patient but not any longer.
I wrote about this several times and spent several hours translating.
Maybe you like to match nicknames for tables, but I need convenience for keeping statistics on thousands of games.
So I created the paraaakk-rule and forced myself to obey it.
There was a request to play my tournaments on the lichess, so I tensed up and switched to a new name, understandable to all hivers
OK, so will you as of now consistently play under "hive-102040" and not changing again in a few weeks? In that case you can join and I will delete the last rule. And which of your many Hive names I should use to tag you in future?
now 1 name for statistics on 4 sites involved in the chess kingdom - @hive-102040. But I can give a rating to all normal hivers, I will only win against all sorts of communists and an asshole who spammed and wrote denunciations about me :)
I have already reported that millions use my terms over time, because they are more accurate or describe new aspects
now, by the way, the beginning https://www.chess.com/live#t=3336577
turn on, it's more interesting than bullets in one and a half openings
Congratulations!

Wait, how are you going to calculate the points with this experiment? Won't it take you forever with the calculation?
Or you will just do it for the winner
No, for all! Yes, unfortunately it will be time consuming, so for a whole season I couldn´t do it.
