Lately, I’ve been feeling a bit more energized and have some time on my hands, so I’ve started posting to Hive again.

Alongside this, I’m also working on posting articles to note. This involves rewriting and transferring posts I originally wrote on WordPress for a Japanese Hive information site.

(Don’t worry if you’ve shared my articles on Hive or other SNS platforms before—all links are set to redirect properly, so there’s no issue!)

Why move articles to note?

The reason for shifting articles to note from WordPress is that I thought it might have a better promotional effect compared to quietly writing on WordPress. Last month, note reportedly surpassed 10 million users, which makes it a hot topic.

Originally, my WordPress blog wasn’t meant for promotion. I started it thinking it would be convenient for new Japanese users to have all the Hive-related information in one place. However, the reality is that Hive itself isn’t widely known, and hardly any new users are coming, so there’s little demand for the site . I’ve come to the conclusion that we need to first let people know Hive exists before anything else can happen😅

I know promotion is necessary to raise awareness about Hive, but I’m not really good with platforms like X, Instagram, or Threads…

Explaining Hive tends to get lengthy. I needed a place where I could write detailed explanations with enough space and still reach more people than a WordPress blog would. That’s why I chose note. Another great thing about note is that it’s easy to interact through comments or likes, which I think is a big plus.

Creating a Hive Info Magazine on note

So far, I’ve transferred seven articles to note and organized them into a single “Magazine” using the platform’s Magazine feature. However, since the Magazine currently only includes my articles, it feels a bit stiff or plain… It’s limited to my perspective alone, which feels a little lacking.

Well, part of this is because I have a strong resistance to using catchy phrases like “Write articles and earn money!” to grab attention.

Hive isn’t a platform where you can “easily make money”, it’s not just about writing and earning, and as you keep posting, you’ll face all sorts of struggles and trial-and-error moments. To me, Hive feels very close to real-world society. That’s why I don’t want to introduce it as some easy side hustle . As a result, my articles on note so far lean heavily toward straightforward, explanatory content 😂

Let’s Build the Magazine Together!

So, here’s my proposal—or rather, my request and invitation—to the Hive JA community: Would you consider writing something about Hive on note and adding it to my Magazine?

The Magazine feature allows you to organize related articles by category, and multiple users can contribute to it collaboratively. For example, you could write about your Hive experiences, your favorite frontend, tips for posting on Snaps, or your go-to communities—anything is fine! If everyone’s articles are added to the Magazine, it’ll show that there’s an active Japanese user base on Hive, and we might reach audiences I couldn’t connect with on my own.

Even if the topics overlap, different writers bring unique perspectives, so I don’t mind duplicates. That said, having some basic guidelines might make it easier to write, so I’ll share an outline later via the community support account.

このところ、少し元気と時間が戻ってきたので投稿を再開しています。

併せて、noteへの記事投稿も進めています。これは以前Hiveの日本語情報サイトを作ろうと思ってWordPressに投稿していた記事を、リライトしつつnoteに移行する作業です。

noteに移行する理由

記事をnoteに移行する理由は、WordPressでひっそり書くよりも、先月ユーザーが1000万人を超えたと話題のnoteの方が宣伝効果が期待できると思ったからです。

もともとWordPressブログは宣伝目的ではなく、新しい日本語ユーザーがHiveを始めるときに、情報が一箇所にまとまっていると便利だなと思って作り始めたものでした。でも、そもそもHiveブログの存在自体があまり知られていないし、新しいユーザーさんもほとんど来ないため、サイトの需要がありません😅

まずは存在を知ってもらわないことにはどうにもならない、という結論に至りました。

Hiveの認知度を上げるには宣伝が必要だとわかっていますが、私はどうもXやインスタ、Threadsのようなプラットフォームが得意ではなくて…。Hiveのことを説明しようとすると、どうしても長くなります。充分な文字数を割いて説明できて、かつWordPressブログより人目に触れる場所、ということでnoteを選びました。

コメントやスキ（いいね）で気軽にアクションできるのもnoteのいいところだと思います。

Hive情報のマガジン作成中

現在noteには7本の記事を移行済みで、「マガジン」機能で一つにまとめています。

ただ今のところ私の記事だけで構成されているため、なぁんか堅いというか、地味というか… 視点が私一人に限られているのが少し物足りないと感じています。

まぁこれは「記事を書くだけで稼げる！」みたいな短縮された謳い文句で人の注意を引くことに、私がどうしても抵抗があるせいでもあるんですけどね😂

Hiveは決して「簡単にお金が稼げる」プラットフォームではないし、書くだけで稼げるなんてことはないし、投稿を続けていれば何かと葛藤や試行錯誤もあるし…。そんな感じで、私はHiveをリアル社会に極めて近いものだと感じてきました。だから、Hiveを簡単に稼げる副業、みたいに紹介したくなくて😅

そのため今のところ、淡々とした説明寄りの記事ばかりになってしまっています。

一緒にマガジンを作りませんか？

そこで、Hive JAコミュニティの皆さんに提案というかお願いというかお誘いなのですが、よかったらHiveブログに関する何かしらの記事をnoteで書いて、私のマガジンに追加させてもらえませんか？

マガジンは、関連する記事をカテゴリごとに整理できるだけでなく、複数のユーザーが共同で記事を追加して作ることもできます。

例えば、Hiveでの体験談、好きなフロントエンド、Snapsでの投稿のコツ、お気に入りの投稿先（コミュニティ）など、どんな内容でもOKです。皆さんの記事がマガジンに加わることで、Hiveブログにアクティブな日本語ユーザーがいることが伝わり、私だけではリーチできない層にもHiveの魅力が届くかもしれません。

同じテーマでも書き手が違えば視点が異なると思っているので、内容は重複しても構いません。とはいえ、一応簡単な基準などあった方が書きやすいかもしれませんね。追って、コミュニティ支援アカウントから概要を投稿しようと思います。
