I followed up reading the prequel manga to this series. Still ongoing and the story takes years back Goblin Slayer Gaiden. The story is good but I'm hooked by the manga mainly for the art style the artist used. Sometimes it's only the art style that makes me interested. Goblin Slayer isn't for the light hearted but I'm desensitized for gore and violence so it doesn't bother me much. Story wise, I think it's a solid way to enjoy your viewing or reading time but definitely not for everybody.
