Eren Yeager: The man, The myth, The legend

For those of you who belong to the minority that don't know who Eren Yeager is this is the perfect place for you to become a Yeagerist. Eren Yeager is the protagonist from the anime 'Attack on Titan' an adaptation of Hajime Isayama's manga with the same name. Having just 4 seasons and 87 episodes, the anime is a hypnotic tale of freedom, survival and humanity all intertwined to produce the masterpiece that most anime fans have all grown to love and adore.
The story kicks off in a world where humanity is endangered and forced to hide behind three walls- Maria, Rose, Sheena, because of huge monstrosities known as Titans that feed on humans for reason unknown at the early phase of the story. The main character protagonist Eren grows up in shiganshina with a dream to one day leave the walls that held humanity prisoners from fear of being eaten by titans. All those dreams came crumbling when two Titans broke through the wall allowing titans to swamp the city killing countless civilians including Eren's mother right in front of him no less. Filled with rage, Eren dons a new ambition - To kill all titans.

Together with his friend Armin Arlet and his adoptive sister Mikasa Ackerman he enlists in the military and after intensive training he makes it to the survey Corp- a special unit tasked with going on missions to learn about and exterminate Titans.
During one of their missions, it appears Eren was killed only to resurrect as titan causing quite the confusion and putting further mystery to what titans truly are. Eren promises to use his Titan powers to fight titans and is placed under supervision of Levi Ackerman so that the military would be able to put Eren's powers for the benefit of humanity only. Within that very season, a female Titan caused havoc within the city with Eren giving chase only to discover that the female Titan was Annie all along, a member of the military police. This caused quite the ruckus as it was becoming really hard to distinguish friend or foe.

The military ( primarily the survey corps) continue to investigate the origins of the titans and soon discover that the colossal and armored Titan that had attacked Eren's village were actually Berthold and Reiner who were both members of the survey corps and have been trying to sabotage them all along.
The anime is a very multifaceted story with intriguing stories. Eren discovers humanity was not really going extinct and he has a step elder brother with ideals to end their race because they had the ability of morphing Titans. The story progresses even further with Eren transforming into an antihero who commits genocide for the sake of his people as they were being targeted by the whole world.

If you haven't watched this anime please do, it is literally the best decision I ever made in my life and yes I still believe in Eren's ideals and the world made him the monster he became.
