A few weeks ago I told you about my experience watching the series The Forest Piano and at that time I received a comment from @dedicatedguy who recommended me to watch some Makoto Shinkai movies.

We searched for some titles on Netflix and found "Your Name (Kimi no na wa)", and today I want to share with you our experience with the movie.

The plot of the movie is developed based on quantum physics concepts by contemplating as the center of the story the exchange of "souls" between two teenagers who are distant and for some reason generated a connection.

The protagonist is a girl from a village far away from Tokyo, who is very unhappy with her life and wishes to have a different life, to the point of stating: "I hate this town! I hate this life! I want to be a handsome boy from Tokyo in my next life!".

The Universe indulges her request and one fine day she wakes up in the body of a student boy in the city of Tokyo and lives for a day his experiences, which brings many situations of confusion not only for her and that boy who in turn also experiences what her life is like, but also for all the relatives and friends with whom they relate.

So they go through different situations of exchange, until they decide to leave each other notes so that each one knew what the other had done and could give continuity to their lives without being taken by surprise by the actions of the other.

The story is very interesting because you can see how the exchange between them is also a growth experience because what each of them lacked, they were able to learn from the energy of the other. For example, Mitsuha Miyamiza (girl) lacked strength and character, she didn't know how to set limits and many of her surroundings made fun of her and she didn't know how to make herself respected until Taki Tachibana (boy) provoked several situations where he put a stop to those mistreatments and mockery.

For his part, Taki was very introverted with girls, a bit awkward to be more clear, and he learned from that ying (feminine) energy that Mitsuha brought to him to improve his approach.

I don't know if I'll fall into some kind of spoilers by telling you this, but both teenagers end up falling in love and look for a way to find each other. The big detail: the exchanges occurred in that quantum dimensional space that doesn't correspond to the notion we have of time.

So it's very interesting to see how the characters move heaven and earth to overcome that, besides transcending other obstacles such as death, forgetting each other, dealing with the existential void generated by the disconnection they had, among other difficulties, but from here on I hope you will be encouraged to watch it so I won't tell you any details of its development.

This is a story full of romance, fantasy, beautiful scenery and an ending that will leave you captivated and wanting to see a sequel.
