It's almost 2 AM and I just finished watching a chaotic yet entertaining anime. It's a Sports x Sci-Fi anime which is entitled TRIBE NINE.

The story is set in Neo-Tokyo at some point in the future. In this world, the youngsters were rebellious and fed up with society, forming tribes to have a place where they belong. However, some tribes grew violent and wreaked havoc across the city of Neo-Tokyo.
As a countermeasure, the government implemented the XB Law. This law states that every tribe conflict must be settled through XB or "Extreme Baseball".

"Extreme Baseball" is similar to baseball, but the players can use modified equipment like extendable bats, and flaming balls... the pitcher can even wear some special equipment to enhance their pitch. The rules are also modified.
There's less restriction... there's no outfielder, but the field itself can be as big as the whole ward. The possible ways for the offensive team to get an out is either striking the batter or tagging out the baserunner while holding the ball. And most importantly, they are allowed to fight.

One day, the meek and naive Haru and his friend were caught by a group of bullies. His friend ended up betraying him and used him as a decoy to escape. Left alone, he was feeling hopeless when two guys, Kamiya and Taiga, came to save him.
Kamiya is an XB star player and the leader of the Minato tribe while Taiga is a rowdy tuna fisherman who aims to surpass Kamiya in the world of XB. This encounter allowed Kamiya to see potential in both Haru and Taiga, so he invited them to join the Minato tribe.

Minato City and its tribes are facing a new threat and Kamiya believed that the two additional members of the Minato tribe are just what they need to overcome it.
Here's the trailer of the anime below...

When I saw the first match of XB in the anime, I thought... "Extreme Baseball your face!!! This is Extreme Brawl!!!" haha Well, I'm not complaining, though. It's as if I got some of my favorite anime genres in one... sports, sci-fi, and action.
This must be the most chaotic sports anime I've ever watched that I sometimes ask if I'm still watching sports or not. Despite that, it's also oddly entertaining that I can't stop watching it.
There were a lot of "WTF" moments for me... some of which broke my heart that I was at a loss and others that were just so dumb in a positive way. lol
The main characters (Minato tribe members) have strong individuality, but they surprisingly fit in quite well. Even the "quadruple extras" and their cat were fun to watch.
The supporting characters and even the villains were so cool... though some of them were hilariously idiotic. I don't know, but there are just a lot of crazy characters that left an impression on me even though they only appeared for a short time.
There might be some cringe moments, but they're tolerable. The last game or battle was especially amazing. The animation and effects were astounding. The art style reminds me so much of Danganronpa!
Tribe Nine is actually an RPG game, too. I want to play it if I get the chance.
All in all, I must say it was a chaotic and dumb anime that made me smile and even laugh a lot. Their stupidity is hilarious. I don't know if I'm complimenting or dissing this anime at this point. lol
Just watch it... and you'll get what I mean!
Thanks for reading! I have to go to bed now as it's half past 2 AM already~~~ see you around!
Please vote for the Ecency Proposal.
Thanks a lot... ✨🩵😎
para que te acostaras a eso hora debió valer la pena jeje, buen post!
for you to go to bed at that time must have been worth it hehe, good post!
Haha... It was!!! Thanks... ✨🩵😎
Extreme baseball? That should exist in real life, for sure here (Venezuela) we would be a world power 😅.
Thanks for sharing this interesting anime, it really looks great. Cheers!
Hahaha... Venezuelans are already really powerful players, so they'd definitely do well in XB... hahaha
Thanks and have a good one! ✨🩵😎
This is really cool and unique, so why I didn't encounter this anime somewhere before. I watched the trailer and I like it. I'll surely add this on my watchlist. Uwu
It's indeed unique... :) Please do so... Enjoy~!!!! ^^
Seeing the anime cover, I can see that it's graphics, animation, and art will be superb, because one of those things I love in anime are those things. Certainly worth trying.
Thanks for sharing.
It certainly has its charm!!! Thanks!!! 🩵😎✨
I wanted to say something really dirty but remembered that'll make me sound whorish. Oh well.
I haven't been able to watch any anime since like Saturday. Idk,like my brain's against the idea of that right now. I'll be watching one short anime with my sister today, well I'll just view it and go to sleep. Maybe it'll boost my morale to watch again. Looks like my season for anime in my system is over. I want to read books!😭
And yes, back to your post. Splendid,as usual😉. I genuinely love scifi animes,it brings me back to the feeling I had when watching maze runner and dynasties (is that what they call the movie? I'm not sure but it's "d" something). Scifi and sport sounds like an amazing genre mix, match, collabo, collaboration 🤓
Heyyyy... I was a bit busy the past couple days I could only reply now... xDDD
I guess I know what you mean? lol Well, there might be some possible pairings here, too.
Haven't watched those movies, but I sure have heard of Maze Runner before... :)
