Imagine you're the DJ and I'm your audience.
I'm pretty sure you've heard a lot of anime songs or are you always skipping the OST? 😅 Hopefully, you still listen to the songs every now and then because they're gems!
For the theme:
It should be an anime song, of course. Old or new, anything is fine as long as it suits with the theme.
Share an anime song that you didn't like when you first heard it, but later on you came to love it.

The first that come to my mind is "My War", from Attack On Titan. At first I didn't like this song because it barely has lyrics and it was very different from the other season's openings, but after a few episodes listening to it I started to like it. I wouldn't say that I love this song, but I like it now.

I remembered that at some point I kinda didn't like this song—maybe because of its tune but the moment I watched the opening song it's from ahahahaha I changed my mind. That opening song could easily be the most quirky and funny opening song in Naruto—I mean, unlike the usual melancholic or cool opening songs, in this one they went with being funny. The dancing part really cracked me up and up until now whenever I hear this song I remember Killer Bee's silly dancing, Kakashi and Jonin's ballet leap, and Naruto and friends mob dance and it really made me giggle. Also, I like its lyrics because it's hopeful and uplifting—

Well, I'll start with Nobodyknows+ "Hero's Come Back" is the first opening of Naruto Shippuden and while I don't really love it now, I recognize that it's a great song and it makes a lot of sense that it's the first opening of NS, since, well, the hero is back.
And the second is LiSA's "Shirushi", which I obviously love her, but this song in SAO (I don't remember if it was 2nd or 3rd season) at first I didn't like, and in fact, I didn't like the arc at first, but now I really appreciate how good this song is
I'm a NEWS fan before I even watched One Piece, so when I listened to SAYAENDO by NEWS, I didn't like it that much compared to their other songs. But, after becoming a One Piece fan, I enjoyed the song much better than I did.

This happened to me at the time with the second OP of SAO “INNOCENCE”, after coming from the first OP of LiSA which for my taste is perfect, this one seemed a little boring and slow hahaha, but in the end I appreciated its rhythms, plus over time I also liked a lot this new arc in the anime and helped me to adapt to his OP hahaha

Shine by Mr.Big is the first song that comes to mind for me.
From the Hellsing series. I was a young kid back then when I first saw Hellsing and heard the song. I just wasn't interested in it at all back then. It didn't have the usual exciting beat/lyrics that I was used to hearing at the end of an episode.
As I sadly have gotten a lot older now 😅, thankfully my music tastes have expanded and I now appreciate this song a hell of a lot!

Mine would have to be kickback from chainsaw man by Kenshi Yonezu. The reason I hated it was because I felt like the pacing was toi fast for my taste. But currently it is one of my favourite opening songs in anime history holding a favorite spot on my Spotify playlist list.
Kickback? This is my first time encountering a person who didn't like it at first hearing. With its catchy beat and cool lyrics it immediately made it to my fave anime ops, so it was quite a shock that you hate it way back then. Preferences do really differ 🤔...
Exactly I not only hated the opening I hated the anime as well. It took me about three tries before I was able to see the beauty underneath everything

At first, I hated this song because I feel empty or like feeling confused or worthless and it makes me sad.
Kokoronashi Acoustic Version (by Hikaru Station). Later on, it changes my perspective because looking back with all my hardships in life, I still manage to be here. Even when I am in a happy mood, I still listen to this song.You should try it too!The anime song that I didn't like because I felt that it was bland. However, as time passed, I began to like it, specially since it played at the end of each episode. I've listened to this song multiple times while watching Zenshu and I didn't feel like skipping it anymore. I don't understand japanese, but still I could feel the song and it made my mind feel relaxed. Hopefully everyone will like it too.
Hello otaku friends, I'm letting you know that I didn't like this anime at all when it was on TV; I was scared of the main character, haha. Aside from the fact that he seemed stupid, he was kind of ugly. Then, since it was broadcast daily, I started getting interested because I started liking the main character, haha, and the rest is history, as it's one of the best anime series I've ever enjoyed.
Ugly...? Ahahahhaha I never saw Saitama that way. His hairstyle may not be to mass preference, but he was never ugly lol. Also, he's kinda silly but still far from stupid. He may not be my fave character in OPM, but he's a likable character who would really grow on you. Liking him was really inevitable and I definitely relate with you.
I didn't pay much attention to him, I only noticed his physical appearance; especially his ugly eyes, haha, and then he did everything without much enthusiasm, as if he were stupid. Obviously he did it to go unnoticed. After I started getting to know him, I really liked him, haha.
From this to this, everything changes, don't you think? Haha. The anime just got more interesting.
Ahahahaha he did look kinda stupid and pretty laid-back at some times but I guess that's one of his charms hehe...and yeah, the more you that you get to know him, the more likable he gets.

The only one I can think of is My war...the same thing Okarun said. The first time I heard it,I was like "what????" But then,I don't know if I got used to it or something,it just sounds chill now and brings sumn like goosebumps and this little adrenaline pump all over,if that makes any sense 😂

Totally this one. At first I didn't like this song, but with each subsequent episode and the increasing quality of the anime (it's a shame that it's only technical :F), I got more and more involved. I like the singer's voice, the light atmosphere that fits the songs from the old Bleach series (both in the case of openings and endings). It reminded me that when I was a teenage otaku, I usually waited for full versions of Bleach songs... When was that, but I'm old xD. Good song, brings back memories.
