Analysis of the Anime D-Frag! 😎: Epic battles without sense and logic and rules is a myth 🤣

How nice to be here sharing with you some stories, history, analysis or Reviews, among others and get to know each other better, and today my friends I want to talk about this anime of absurd humor, and excuse the word I do not say it for bad, is that it is called so, but it is listed in comedy and is D-Fragment or D-Frag, an anime that in all chapters I have not taken a laugh like you have no idea, here I tell you.

I saw this anime at the time of the pandemic, in fact, in those days I was more focused on watching anime compared to previous years, thank God that those days I didn't get sick of that virus. And well, since I didn't want to think about the problems that were happening, I had a large catalog of things to watch, between anime, series and movies, I gave the opportunity to watch this anime, it was really a pleasure to watch it and it had been a while since I laughed a lot. This anime has won my heart. The plot is a whirlwind of craziness starting with our protagonist named Kenji Kazama, a student who considers himself a “delinquent” along with his two friends, Nagamasa and Hiroshi, forming the Kazama Gang. Their goal is to make a name for themselves at Fujou Academy, but the reality is that their level of intimidation is rather? non-existent. On the first day of the new term, the gang crosses paths with the “Game Development Club,” a group of girls who seem more like a secret chaos organization than a school club. In an unexpected twist, a fire at the club forces them to intervene, but instead of receiving thanks, Nagamasa and Hiroshi are quickly eliminated by the eccentric club members, leaving Kenji alone and vulnerable. That group didn't last long and they called themselves the strongest, but the truth was not so hehehehe....

Here is where it gets good, when I read the synopsis of the characters they said that they mastered elements... well, the leader of the club called "Roka Shibasaki", comes into action and decides that Kenji should join them. How does she convince him? With her technique of “soul stealing”, and the element that dominates is the darkness, it looks interesting, but I tell you something actually just put a paper bag on his head. From this moment on, Kenji becomes the new member of the club, although his initial resistance is completely useless.

I laughed like you have no idea, now here comes the group of crazy... I mean fellows that are in the club, we start "Roka Shibasaki" the leader of the club, she dominates two elements Fire/Darkness. Despite her innocent appearance, Roka is a chaos strategist and manages to manipulate everyone around her with her strange logic. If you ever thought a lovable character couldn't be a covert villain. By the way, the fire element are from fireworks and the darkness the paper bag.

"Chitose Karasuyama" is the president of the student council and has more authority than the school principal himself (That's sad isn't it?) also vice-president of the Game Development Club. She is a person who appears to be calm and kind, but she is usually the opposite as she is the most feared person by the students and teachers of Fujou Academy. She has a violent temper, but is sometimes happy when she spends time in the Game Creation Club. She is the kind of character who, if she existed in real life, would probably be the leader of a secret organization. Her element is Earth which is actually that she packs punches with dirt she keeps in her pocket. She likes to be sand castles.

Sakura Mizukami, a club member who lives in her own universe, where logic does not exist and the rules of reality are optional. Her special ability is the “water element”, which in “theory” should be something impressive, but in practice it just means that she likes to get people wet for no reason. In the first episode you will see how he almost drowns one of Kazama's gang members with a bottle of water.

And last and not least... it's true I'm not lying about that... "Minami Ōsawa", teacher and councilor of the game development club, she puts herself to sleep in almost every chapter, even in her classes, her element is electricity, sounds interesting and you will say how does she do it, well she always carries a Taser gun that she uses to electrocute her victims.

D-Frag's humor is a mix of exaggeration, absurd situations and references to video games and other anime such as Street Fighter, Dragon Quest and more. There are moments where the characters face off in “elemental battles”, where each one has a “power” based on elements such as fire, water, earth... and “light” (which is really just turning on a flashlight to replace the taser gun on some occasions). The fights are pointless, the dialogues are fast and full of sarcasm, I'm not saying this for bad it's just that the series never takes itself seriously. It's the kind of anime that makes you wonder, “What did I just watch?” but at the same time leaves you wanting more. By the way, when I watched all the episodes I got sad and wondered if there was a second season....

The protagonist is the only one who has common sense, but he takes too many hits, and what makes me laugh about that guy is the voice seiyu "Katsuyuki Konishi", he also gives the voice of the sound pillar in Kimetsu no Yaiba. He gives it a pretty good touch of comedy, he keeps shouting and complaining, but that's the good thing because what he sees is so absurd, it makes him very impatient that leads him to claim everything screaming and watching him gives a lot of laughter, there is also a little romance, but it's very mild, and if there is a character that has some interest to our protagonist as in the case of the president of another club called Takao, she is kind and attractive is in love with Kazama in the story and has a lot of rivalry with Chitose and Funabori, which by the way that last character is a love of person and very kind.

Every character in D-Frag is designed to defy logic and make Kenji suffer constantly. It's a series where normality is a myth and chaos is the only constant. This doesn't respect logic, it's a myth. It's an anime that doesn't take itself seriously and enjoys making its protagonist suffer in every episode. If you've ever wondered what an anime would be like where the rules of the world change every five minutes and the characters act like they're in a competition of who can be the most absurd, D-Frag is the answer. It will get a lot of laughs out of you and make your day.
