The blood of the sea - watercolor on paper

Millions of dead, hidden at the bottom of the sea, never seeing their faces or their blood.

History chases the reality that every day brings us death again, from the media with images, and the bloody one makes an impression on us, the one by drowning does not. Because often death in the sea happens silently with ships, boats, rubber dinghies loaded with human beings that no one sees drowning.

History remembers and reports only the number of deaths of human beings but not the number of trees on Earth.

So I remember it with blood on a tree, the same blood that belongs to the Earth, to Nature that is the symbol of our ephemeral, passing existence.

A hug of reflection.

Il sangue del mare - acquarello su carta

Milioni di morti, nascosti sul fondo del mare, senza mai vederne i volti ne il sangue. La storia insegue la realtà che ogni giorno ci ripropone la morte, dai media con immagini, e quella cruenta ci fa impressione, quella per annegamento no. Perchè spesso la morte nel mare avviene silenziosa con navi, barche, gommoni carichi di esseri umani che nessuno vede annegare.

La storia ricorda e riporta solo il numero dei morti degli esseri umani ma non quello degli alberi sulla Terra.

E allora lo ricordo con il sangue su un albero, lo stesso sangue che appartiene alla Terra, alla Natura che è il simbolo della nostra esistenza effimera, di passaggio.

Un abbraccio di riflessione.
