There & Back Again 5

~ Right Round ~

It's been a wild ride of parenthood these last few weeks. With the holiday and a peanut allergy hospital visit... things have been busy, needless to say. I wanted to give an update but also share some art sooner but better late than never is what I always say. This post was an incentive to create some generative art either way and I have to say it's been pretty fun to have created anything at all in what little downtime life affords me these days!

Food For Thought

I originally made the 'There & Back Again' series to archive all my old generated images. However, I decided for this post to just show off new stuff that I made just for this post. I didn't want to waste time going far back into the discord logs and message searches and scavenging for the better images that I haven't shared yet. I did share the images along with the prompts, samplers, and model info.

One of my favorite books when I was a child is called Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs. I really loved the concept behind the story and the illustrations were great. The illustrations had a distinct style that carried the story into my imagination. The generated runs above were modeled after an attempt to try and recreate or mimic that particular style.

Cloudy With a Chance of MeatBalls

Apparently, they made a movie recently (see gif above) but after I saw the trailer I wasn't too thrilled to see the animated film. The potential of what the book had to offer seems to have fallen very short by the looks of things. I will reserve a final judgement on the movie until after I actually see it.

Eye Candy

One of my favorite board games growing up was CandyLand. The name is pretty self-explanatory. It's a race of the players to try and navigate the board to see who can finish first! The board is a landscape of Candy characters and perilous but interesting terrain. It's a little like Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory but a whole LAND as opposed to just a part of a factory. The opportunities with this topic and possible imagery is virtually neverending.

Wearied Whims

Finally, I wanted to try some things that haven't worked so well in the past. Cthulu and Punisher are two subjects that I have played around with before but the results were either horrible or bad enough I didn't want to commit the time and synonym skills to crafting a proper prompt.

So, just for giggles I gave them another go and it looks like the tech is far enough along now that it won't take nearly as much time to get really good results with some effort into the prompts. As you can see from most of this post's image prompts... none of them are too complex, specific, or lengthy.

The Punisher has a special place in my heart for a few reasons. The Punisher skull logo design has always been one of my favorites. I can't tell you how many times over the last few years that I have run a few prompts with it and had some very lackluster results. However, now the simplest standard definition models and the xl models seem to do a decent job with a minimal amount of prompting. So, I made these to show you!

I think they turned out better than I expected and it almost sucked me into making a zillion more images. But this time... as I mentioned, I needed to just finish this post and get the monkey of it off my back. It took way longer to finish this post than I thought. The holiday I mentioned before was Easter if that tells you anything. hahaha

So, until I get a bit more time I will hold off on making more and better Punisher images. Punishment is postponed! Hahaha

Some lovely art, and my favorite is the last photo where the crowd of meatballs are slurping the spaghetti up, and other meatballs coming up to join the feast.

Just a note here about the peanut allergy. I don't know if you are aware about some peanut butter brands being withdrawn from the shopping shelves.

Maybe you should check it out as I don't know what the situation is in your country regarding peanuts.
Both safe links below.

Thanks for taking the time to stop by and for your comments. Those spaghetti and meatball weather images all turned cool each in their own way! Glad you enjoyed the imagery.

Also, thanks for the peanut info. We actually talked about the potential that the allergy could possibly be a reaction to those kinds of toxins. I just checked out your links and it seems that it's a concern even if it has no connection to the allergy. It's good to know these things and be more aware.

I had mentioned in another comment that we had given him some natural peanut butter and he had little to no reaction. Here in Sweden, the American brand of peanut butter called Skippy has become an option. We gave him a dab of that and the reaction occurred. I considered that it could be some additives in the US peanut butter. It's hard to say though.

The allergy test came back for a reaction to some protein... and I don't know how additives or toxins could give a protein reaction result. But I am no chemist or doctor either. hahaha I appreciate your support and information my friend.

Sounds very dicey to me, as there are so many tricks to make more profits, by adding additives to bulk up the foods. That, or adding lesser content at the same price without informing the public. Almost nothing is pure anymore.

Talking about peanuts reminded me about a band that we had here in the 60s called The Peanut Butter Conspiracy and I liked some of their songs.
Here's an example.

So, hold on to what you've got and stay away from peanut butter my friend !LOL

I really want to buy one of those grocery checkout dividers

That's some epic art. The wrath cometh!

And this birthday party looks like fun and not creepy at all 😄

image.png

That birthday party does look lit! Maybe they are just waiting for the Mad Hatter to swing by before blowing out their candles. Nothing creepy to see here at all...

untitled.gif

Wrath of the Meatballs might be a good name for a series of those images. Thanks for swinging by and for the support my friend. Always interested to see what your picks are!

Heh That party escalated quickly. Interestingly, I had no idea (or had forgotten) that the Mad Hatter's teapot had three spouts. 🤣 Disney was so different back then.

Beautiful, sensual and very feminine!

The force of nature in an alternate universe!

The fantasy of a child, or of an adult too, lots of colour and joy!

image.png

Just in case I don't want to meet this alien... it looks dangerous!!!! A genius!

image.png

Thank you for sharing your thoughts and perspectives and I'm glad you enjoyed some of the imagery. Maybe the next post will have a cat or cats in there for ya! hahaha

I like them all but these are the coolest... cats!!!! Super cool!!!!🤣

image.png

Thank you so so much!!! It's beautiful!😍😍😍😍

I have only one association here - the Flying Pasta Monster. Pastafarianism and stuff.😂

We did some generations based on the text prompt 'Flying Spaghetti Monster' which I think is part of that Pastafarian stuff. The results were similar to these but also we put googly eyes on them which added a more spiritual look. hahaha

Those girls at the beginning are so amazing, brother!! Love the beautiful expression on their faces. Most of all, they don't look sad like most of my characters haha. The details are wonderful too; feathers, jewelries and gemstones. WOW!! Good Job, Fella!! :))

Glad to see you here brother! Long time no see... hahhaa
Those girls at the beginning did turn out pretty good. I could have done a million variations on that style and look. Sad characters are good too. There is an elegant beauty to the melancholy. To be fair I can't take too much credit for the details as most of them are just generated and not formally prompted. But, when I get more time and a theme... you can bet there will be details galore! hahah
untitled.gif

I agree what you said about melancholy, brother!! But I wanna be good at all the human expressions haha. Well Getting there. Do some more, Bro!! I will be waiting for more AI faces.:D

The first 3 girl's art style is giving me vintage vibes. I meant the proportions and hair style haha. Vintage anime had this style in 2d form. Kinda miss it a lot actually.

Those skull designs were magnificent! Punisher would be proud 😬.

I prompted it with flapper pinup and those old time dancers had that look. I also used Goya's art style mixed with the art and color styles of a few more modern colorists. The combo worked out pretty nice! I miss the old vintage anime and life stuff too. I wish a lot of the old hair styles would come back again. I doubt the clothes will though ahhaha Glad you liked the Punisher skulls too. Eventually I will get some really good ones I like and then get them into an editor and art them up a bit.
Thanks for dropping by and taking the time to comment! Keep up the awesome work of yours!

That post is exceptionally good!

Thank you! Glad you liked it and took the time to comment. Cheers

Those punisher logos

🔥

It's going to get better! Just scratching that surface now... hahaha

I really like this image which reminds me of tornadoes.

Great minds think alike! I almost used that one for the thumbnail. hahaha

The idea you had with this prompt line is brilliant. We are between the storm of brains. Or an attack from an alien ancestor of jellyfish

Merci beaucoup. Peut-être tout ce qui précède !

Ah, that sucks about the peanut allergy. I still don't understand why they are so much more common now than they used to be, but we have quite a few kids here at the school that have them. I hope everything turns out okay! Nice images. I have only ever seen the movie Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs, I never realized it was a book too. You should have went with a toxic peanuts theme!

It does suck considering how much i love Peanut Butter! I think it's something he may grow out of but that may just be wishful thinking. It's funny because he had some natural PB before and no reaction or a super mild one, if any. We got some Skippy peanut butter from USA and that was the one that set him off. It was about the size of a pea that he got. So, I wonder if it's something to do with the processed foods or some kind of additives. It's a protein allergy... so maybe it doesn't really matter. But, it is weird how prevalent it is nowadays.

untitled.gif

Did you like the movie and is it worth watching? The book illustrations really had an impact on my art and the story also fueled my creativity. Maybe I will do some toxic peanuts in the next round! Thanks for stopping by Bozz!

Yeah, they add all kinds of crap to foods in the US. We stick to Jiff brand, but we have never had issues in our house. It would be interesting if they could ever figure out why it's a bigger issue now. The movie was great. I still stop on it when I see it on TV every now and then. I'm glad the little one is okay.

Thanks! I will give it a watch then since it's 'Bozz Approved'. We don't get Jiff brand here in Sweden. They have all kinds of their own natural peanut butters. They have been carrying Skippy here and there so we got some just to give me a taste of home. Tbh I love all the brands of peanut butter! hahahha

Yeah, you really can't go wrong with peanut butter, unless you are allergic to it I guess! They made a second movie too, but I haven't watched that one yet.

I love the faces of those girls, the skin and the make up on their faces. They are really cute. Nice one!

Thanks! They did turn out pretty. Some of the look of the skin and makeup came from the artist name I put into the prompt. His style was very similar to how these turned out in tone and theme. Thanks for stopping by!

Oww peanut allergy, hope the little guy is doing okay 😭

He's doing great.... it's just sad. I love peanut butter and I wanted him to as well. Hopefully it's something he can outgrow. He grows so much I think it's certainly possible. I outgrew my allergy to cats, thankfully... so I hope he can enjoy Peanut Butter at some point in the future. Hahaha... i could think of worse ways to die than ingesting peanut butter! hahah

Same here with the cats.... Sort of? I was allergic a bit as a kid, then moved in with a cat and I seemed to adapt. Cat passed away RIP, but now I seem to get kind of itchy around them again, I need more exposure!
