I've always found the concept of Folie à Deux very interesting.
Folie à deux (French for 'madness of two') also called shared psychosis or shared delusional disorder (SDD), is a rare psychiatric syndrome in which symptoms of a delusional belief are "transmitted" from one individual to another.
I studied psychology in University and recall several interesting cases where two people committed atrocious murders together under delusional beliefs, there was also a fascinating documentary Madness on the Motorway where two sisters threw themselves in front of traffic due to a shared psychosis. There have been many other instances throughout history and I would suggest checking out this wiki page if you want to dive more into the topic!
