New Art - Untitled Lambs and some rambles about social media

in Alien Art Hivelast month

I have been posting less the last two weeks as I decided to give myself a quasi vacation which I don't do often. I was still 'working' but decided to take somewhat a break from social media. Now that I am declaring my vacation over and coming back it feels very strange, I feel totally out of the loop on what's going on and everything feels so fast paced! I've missed all the drama and happenings and new token drops and projects 😂

Feel free to fill me in on any tea!

I have still been making some art and as mentioned in my previous post I have been working on crocheting my first ever sweater. It started as a cardigan idea but I decided I didn't want to fuss with buttons or any type of fastening technique. I think it is coming along well :) I was always intimidated by crocheting garments but once I looked up a bunch of patterns I realized it's not actually as difficult as I thought, it is however time consuming. I am hoping to finish soon and will make a post in the needlework community when I do.

On to the art, this one is currently Untitled...

In retrospect I like to think of this artwork as me attempting some peace from the SoMe shitshow, ha!

To create this artwork I generated tons of images of women holding a lamb using Leonardo AI, I tried their style feature for the first time and used the digital paint feature. It wasn't quite as I expected but after tweaking a lot of parameters I came up with a group of images I liked.

I chose two of the images and collaged them together then added some various layers of glitching and masking to get this wavy flowy style around the edges. I really lke this effect and want to play with it more:

I learned between 10-15 years ago and it's something that I don't touch for a year then go crazy for a while lol, it's a nice hobby ✌️

as long as you enjoy it :) 🩷

Very captivating! And I like that you did a collage of the two - you made it much more impactful than what it would have been otherwise.

I also use Leonardo often (the free version). Was the feature you used available on the free tier?

Lastly, aside from being relaxing and meditative, they say that making things with your hands (especially in intricate detail) improves brain's learning ability, memory, and muscle control.

Yes it's available on the free version, I always use legacy mode and I think it's called styles (not at the comp rn) you can choose multiple styles and add different weights to each!

This is quite scary 😂😭😭

Impressive but creepy as hell😂😂

Yeah they have a bit of a creepy clown look for sure haha

When I see lambs and sheep, I think of sacrifice! Yes, I hope you are one of the black goats, who always go against the flow. That is what art is all about.
Your creation is beautiful but also scary to be like everyone else!

I'm a black goat, ha ha ha.

Like me! I've always been the odd one out and have suffered for it too and that's a good thing, you can't be indifferent in your life like unfortunately many are today, well almost everyone. Or what? ;)

We are like Neo or Trinity in The Matrix, always upside down but with the truth!

Yes the expression here is the black sheep and I would say I have always been one for sure, I think most artists are!

cool :)

🤘💫

I absolutely loved it!!! The combination of colors, the effects, the result, and above all, everything related to the closed eyes, like a hidden sadness but with the tenderness of holding those kids. I really like it!!!
