Glad that you checked out the website. I have been there on the website for almost 2 weeks and it has been fun! I mostly use VQGAN+CLIP for AI art generation though. But for portraits, art breeder is the best. I recommend that you try it out as soon as possible. And when you have got a hang of it, I suggest that you try out VQGAN+CLIP too.
Regarding the security risks, I haven’t had any bad experience till now. The website seems to have a valid security certificate. I have downloaded around 5 of the generated images and haven’t noticed anything odd till now.
Regarding the use of images, that is what their FAQ section says. All images are public domain, CC0. So, you can use the images as you like. There is an option to make your images private too; others will not be able to see them then.
The exact answer in their FAQ is :
All images are public domain (CC0) and may be used for commercial purposes. It is strongly suggested that you cite the Artbreeder image URL when sharing something that strongly resembles an Artbreeder image. Private mode is available for subscribers to ensure the images are not used by others.
I usually include the image lineage URL just to keep things clear. Since they are CC0 images, we can use them commercially too.
I really hope that you read this reply in the morning, after a good night's rest, and not now. It is difficult to not reply when someone shares a similar enthusiasm regarding the infinite possibilities that AI has to offer. Most people that I show my results to are like, "OK...". Apologies in advance if I do end up waking you.
There are around half a dozen people here experimenting with AI in the Alien Art community and all are very helpful in sharing their progress and tips. In fact, @jotakrevs has modified the VQGAN+CLIP notebooks and made it available for all to use.
Have a good night and a good day tomorrow. I will be waiting to see what you do with AI :). It is so infectious, this enthusiasm, at least for some of us.
It is my pleasure to be of some help and it is because others have guided me that I am doing this now. See you later, good night :)
Wow, thanks so much for your prompt answer!
I can certainly see all of the amazing possibilities with software like this (since I can't draw to save my life..lol...) And now you have really sent me down the YT rabbithole of both artbreeder and VQGAN+CLIP tutorials...🤣 ....
I just thought that art like this was created by very talented people who know photoshop a whole lot better than I do...I actually posted a couple of images in the Alien art hive, but only things that I done while literally fiddling about with controls in ps, like these ones here...https://peakd.com/hive-158694/@chocolatescorpi/alien-art-what-was-it and https://peakd.com/hive-158694/@chocolatescorpi/the-alien-octocactii and https://peakd.com/hive-158694/@chocolatescorpi/buddha-being-blessed-blessing-all-of-us-on-hive and my favourite here https://peakd.com/hive-158694/@chocolatescorpi/alien-brains
So wow, you have certainly given me some great direction and I look forward to seeing much more of you and your art here too!
And this one of yours here is my fave! https://www.artbreeder.com/i?k=b7488e6c88d0a06a361f01c4a24b
I'm a sucker for dark, eerie, mysterious forests full of haunted and/or witches houses...lol...like this one here by @bambuka...https://peakd.com/hive-178708/@bambuka/dacha-of-georg-mesmakher-18-photos and trippy, colourful, unique artwork too!
So thank you so much once again @lavista !!!
I really appreciate all of your help here!
And am checking out @jotakrevs page now too thanks!!!
Wow! Your art is awesome too. Looking at your art, I think you will be interested in Fractal Art too. Check out Mandelbulb or Mandelbrowser apps.
And regarding your fondness for dark, eerie, mysterious houses, I think you might find this art of mine interesting then :
I had made this quite some time ago with Blender and Unreal Engine and rendered in Unreal Engine. I kind of stopped making dark stuff like this for some time as no one seemed to like it. Happy to know that you like such stuff too :)
Regarding bambuka’s art, I had found the last post very interesting where he has photographed trees near the North Pole I guess.
I hope you have a lot of fun producing great art with these new tools and I look forward to seeing your new art too.
Like I said, it is my pleasure to be of any help. Looking forward to your art :)
Wow that was cool. Well done!
I', juts playing and watching some blender tuts now..lol...you've certainly got me started!
This is a long satisfying road :) (I hope!) .
