Just Monika

!Spoilers for when you still want to play DDLC (Doki Doki Literature Club)!

If you don't know by now, Doki Doki is a game that came out in 2017 by Team Salvato. It is a game that wants to disguise itself to be just a cute dating Sim but slowly turns into a horror game.

There are 5 main people in the story that fill this empty area.
Sayori (Childhood friend)
Yuri (Bookworm)
Natsuki (Aggressive girl)
Monika (Club president) and the protagonist

As I have stated before, the game wants to act like a normal dating Sim where you write poems and show it to the other girls but somethings not right..? Monika breaks the 4th wall constantly and just acts strange in general. And you start to notice the game change from cute to horror after Sayori hangs herself in her room. The day before that she told you that she suffered from Severe depression her whole life and sometimes even struggles to get out of bed.

After Sayori kills herself the game tries to move forward withoud her in it. She would usally meet the protagonist outside her home and walk with him to school. But now Monika just glitches herself in and Drags you there herself. A while later Yuri, a person who just appreciates knifes for thier elegance and sees them as a form of art becomes obsessive over you. Until the very end when she stabs herself 3 times and dies. Natsuki reacts like every normal person would to seeing thier friends corpse. And later even she becomes crazy until her neck snaps and you once again see Monika glitching in. This time, with nobody left, she takes you to a room.

There's no other person left. It's Just Monika..it's pretty much a one-sided conversation and she reveals that she was self-aware. That she knew that she was in a simulation. And that she made the girls worst traits worse. That's how Sayori went from being a little depressed to being suicidal. How Yuri becomes from being a little obsessive to being a maniac. And so on. Monika then reveals how she deleted all the character files from the girls because she loves you. So it's just you and Monika.
Just Monika.
