[En/Esp] Inked Owl: SketchBook Chapter 5 | Búho Entintado: SketchBook Capítulo 5

Hello, dear Hivers! Today i will share with you again the continuation of this creative mini-series. This time the protagonist of my new page is my favorite bird.

Hola, queridos Hivers! Hoy nuevamente les comparto la continuación de esta mini serie creativa. Esta vez el protagonista de mi nueva página es mi ave favorita.

Everyone who at some point has followed my work knows or has noticed that i love owls, so much so that i consider it my spirit animal. So while i saw this little canvas in my hands i thought that i could not miss a chapter dedicated to this beautiful and sublime bird, symbol of intelligence, magic, occult arts, clairvoyance, wisdom and connection with the spiritual world. I looked for some references to see what species to draw but as always in the end i take my pencil and do what flows.

Todos los que en algún momento han seguido mi trabajo saben o han notado que amo los búhos, tanto así que lo considero mi animal espiritual. Así que mientras veía este pequeño lienzo entre mis manos pensé que no podía faltar un capítulo dedicado a esta hermosa y sublime ave, símbolo de la la inteligencia, magia, las artes ocultas, la clarividencia, , la sabiduría y la conexión con el mundo espiritual. Busqué algunas referencias para ver qué especie dibujar pero como siempre al final tomo mi lápiz y hago lo que fluya.

From the beginning i wanted to draw something not so colorful, that was more black ink, but i wasn't sure if i really wanted to do it only in black, although i hadn't started inking it yet i had already had a vision of a red-eyed owl and i was particularly fascinated by this combination of black and red. In order not to complicate too much something that should be “simple and relaxed”, i used a geranium red marker. The red would be only for that detail, the background and the eye.

Desde el inicio quería dibujar algo no tan colorido, que fuese más tinta negra, pero no estaba segura si realmente quería hacerlo solo en negro, aunque todavía no lo había comenzado a entintar ya había tenido una visión de un búho de ojos rojos y particularmente siempre me fascinó esta combinación, de negro y rojo. Para no complicar mucho algo que debe ser "simple y relajado", utilicé un marcador color rojo geranio. El rojo sería sólo para ese detalle, el fondo y el ojo.

For the whole drawing i used several black calibrated pens, to outline and fill the rest of the feathers, this part is a bit complicated because if you don't play a little bit with the composition, the angle, the size of the feathers, etc... With the limitation of a single color, if the drawing has too much detail, there is a fine line where it ends up being an undefined black mass. At this point i admit that i was almost tempted to use more colors and my dark and mysterious owl would end up being a kawaii owl.

Para todo el dibujo utilicé varios boligrafos calibrados color negro, para hacer delineado y rellenar el resto de las plumas, esta parte es un poco complicada porque si no juegas un poco con la composición, el ángulo, el tamaño de las plumas, etc... Con la limitación de un solo color, si el dibujo tiene demasiados detalles, existe una delgada línea en que termine siendo una masa negra sin definir. En este punto admito que casi caigo en la tentación de usar más colores y que mi búho oscuro y misterioso terminase siendo un buhito kawaii.

Once the part i considered more complicated was done, i started to give depth in certain areas such as around the eye and under the beak with calibrated pens. I darkened other areas a little more with acrylic marker.

Una vez ya lograda la parte que consideraba más complicada, comencé a darle profundidad en ciertas áreas como alrededor del ojo y debajo del pico con bolígrafos calibrados. Oscurecí otras áreas un poco más con marcador acrílico.

With white, red and orange acrylic markers i gave it the final touches... I wanted to highlight it a bit with small strokes of color but without getting too excited about them. I didn't want a carnival in this chapter.

Con marcadores acrílicos blanco, rojo y naranja le di los últimos toques... Quería resaltarlo un poco con pequeños trazos de color pero sin emocionarme demasiado con ellos. No quería un carnaval en este capítulo.

And finally this is the protagonist of this new chapter of my mini SketchBook. An inked owl with his typical imposing and elegant expression that characterizes them.
I hope you liked the small strokes of this new page. I wonder what I'll draw next? Then i will improvise.

Y finalmente así quedo el protagonista de este nuevo capítulo de mi mini SketchBook. Un búho entintado con su típica expresión imponente y elegante que les caracteriza.
