Greetings to the community of Spinterlands players.
Today I want to share my work for participating in the competition from the game creators.
I decided to depict the rare monster “SOUL STRANGLER”.
I chose this monster because it seemed quite expressive to me and reminded me of the image of a vampire from a children's fairy tale.
As I intended to draw with a black ballpoint pen, this card seemed to me the most suitable for such a type of drawing.
Below you can see the process of creating the picture that I captured on my smartphone.
Taking the classic game skin as a basis, I immediately started sketching the outlines of the picture.
Then I gradually began darkening the shadowed places.
This process continued, I accentuated some details of the picture and simultaneously corrected some shortcomings.
Gradually, the picture began to acquire expressiveness. After some time, I stopped at the finished result.
Then I created a collage of photos of the drawing process and the animation that you saw at the beginning of the post.
