Hm, do you know that feeling when you're sitting there - all you really want to do is scribble a little and then you're in an inner dialog with you, yourself and your own self...

... But where did the thought begin? Oh yes, we had just had the famous Thai water festival "Songkran" again. One of the customs is to go to the older family members, visit them and respectfully pour water over their feet as a sign of honor. The younger ones have water fights and it is a happy festival of purification, renewal and connection to the origin...

What do I mean by the origin? Sure, the ancestors, the grandparents, the parents... But water - as an element - is also known to be the origin of life.

Water, such a beautiful, changeable element, one that we are all largely made of.

As I was thinking to myself, Michael Jackson's "Man in the mirror" was still playing in the background.

My first thought was, an idea? An inner visual drawing? Yup. I wanted to capture the age, the transience, the change somehow. Also that we are a kind of mirror image of previous generations, always connected to the past in the present, which creates future possibilities. Wow, that's a lot of thought, isn't it?

Yes, wild discussions do take place in my head from time to time.

After our passing, we all reunite with the planet, the earth, we serve the flora and fauna as food, just as it nourished us. These and more thoughts ran through my head like an audio book.

The old woman should have a dualistic counterpart. In other words, a male character. The color combination of the clothes and the similar glasses can reflect many things. Depending on what the viewer wants to see and is able to perceive.

Is it just her son? Or her great love? Is it her father or even herself, just in a different life or dimension? Maybe it is just a dream of a young girl who sees herself as a future old woman and the reflection is just fantasy or fiction?

Hm, kennt ihr das, wenn ihr so da sitzt - eigentlich nur ein bisl kritzeln wolltet und schwubsdiwubs ist man im inneren Eigendialog mit sich, sich selbst und dem eigenen ich...

... Doch wo fing der Gedanke an? Ach ja, wir hatten gerade erst wieder das bekannte thailändische Wasserfest "Songkran" gehabt. Einer der Bräuche ist es, zu den älteren Familienmiern zu gehen, sie zu besuchen und Respektvoll, als Zeichen der Ehre und so, Wasser über die Füße zu gießen. Die jüngeren haben Wasserschlachten und es ist ein frohl9Fest der Reinigung, Erneuerung und Verbindung zum Ursprung...

Was meine ich mit dem Ursprung? Klar, die Vorfahren, die Großeltern, die Eltern... Aber auch Wasser - als Element - wird als Ursprung des Lebens bekanntlich betitelt.

Wasser, ein so schönes, wandelbares Element, eines aus dem wir alle größtenteils bestehen.

Als ich so vor mich hin dachte, lief im Hintergrund sogarr noch von Michael Jackson "Man in the mirror".

Mein erster Gedanke kam, eine Idee? Eine innere visuelle Zeichnung? Jup. Ich wollte das Alter, die Vergänglichkeit, den Wandel irgendwie festhalten. Auch das wir eine Art Spiegelbild der vorherigen Generationen sind, stets verbundenen mit der Vergangenheit in der jeweiligen Gegenwart, welche die zukünftigen Möglichkeiten kreieren. Hui, bisl viel Gedanke oder?

Ja, in meinem Kopf finden schon ab und an wilde Diskussionen statt.

Wir alle vereinen uns, nach unserem Ableben, wieder mit dem Planeten, der Erde, wir dienen der Flora und Fauna als Nahrung, so wie sie uns ein nährte. Solch und noch mehr Gedanken zogen wie ein Audio Buch durch meinen Kopf.

Die alte Frau sollte einen dualisten Gegenpart bekommen. Also einen männlichen Charakter. Die Farbkombination der Kleidung und die ähnliche Brille kann vieles widerspigeln. Je nachdem was der Betrachter sehen möchte und vermag wahrzunehmen.

Ist es lediglich ihr Sohn? Oder ihre große Liebe? Ist es ihr Vater odee sogar sie selber, nur in einem anderen Leben oder Dimension? Vielleicht ist es nir ein Traum eines jungen Mädchen, welche sich als zukünftige Alte selbst erblickt und das Spiegelbild ist lediglich eine Fiktion?

Yes, you see right. A third eye was added. Nearly forgot it. But last minute I remembered to draw it.
