Hi my dear Hive friends, this is one of my latest works. As you can see, I've changed my way of working a bit. In this period I feel the need to work more with painting, I am more pictorial !!!!
Then, as you can see in this period my favorite format is the square,in fact lately I've been doing a lot of pictures on square canvas

I put the canvas on the loom, I usually take my family's ancient canvas, of my mother or mygranmother, forgotten canvases in the attic of ancient kits, are the best !!!!

After doing the primer I start my painting, I paint the base or rather the background on which I will then go to work with other materials

the choice of materials is very important for the harmony of the painting in the final result

luckily I always have some assistants!!!

per fortuna ho sempre qualche assistente!!!

IMG_8760.JPG

after the drafting of the base color I placed some rectangular pieces of fabric as if they were tree trunks

IMG_8761.JPG

and the work takes shape!!!

ed ecco che il lavoro prende forma!!!

And so I made a wood with trees and leaves, its color is warm, perhaps the autumn season influenced me.
I hope you enjoy this job !!! Bye, see you soon!!!

Ciao a presto!!!

Thank you for showing the process and going into detail about the materials and mindset. I really liked the close up photos of the fabric and textures. It really helps to translate the art to our eyes here on the other side of the screen.

I feel like it's easy to lose a lot of what is to artistically be appreciated in analog artworks. Without being able to be there and see it and touch it with our eyes... you sharing the steps, the materials, the workspace, the process, and the art itself as you have, really helps make that leap.
Thank You

Thank to you my dear @castleberry, I am very happy that you like my job and equally happy that through these photos I can convey what it really is. I love your community and hope to always have adequate material

Thank you for your kind words. If i know one thing it's that you can't force art. So, don't worry about the adequacy... just make your art and it will always have a home here in this community! =) Take Care

Thank you so much my dear @castleberry
