Queen of Spades Custom Card Design

Hope all is well on your end as is in mine.

It’s nighttime as I write this, though I started this post earlier today—well, more like attempted to start. I never quite made it to the publishing part, but here I am now, editing.

Lately, I’ve been working on custom cards. Last week, I was deep in it—drawing, designing, tweaking little details. This week? Barely touched my tablet. And when I finally did, the battery was low and so nothing happened.

Life threw a few high-tension moments my way recently. The kind that could easily derail your focus or energy. But strangely, I ended up handling them better than I expected. I surprised myself with how calm and composed I was under pressure. Where my past self might’ve imagined I'd fall flat on my face, I found myself standing—steady, grounded, maybe even a little proud.

I think I’ve said this before, but it’s worth repeating: I’ve become almost immune to anxiety over things I can’t control. It’s not that I don’t feel it—it’s that it doesn’t shake me the way it used to. Growth is quiet sometimes, but it’s definitely happening.

I guess I subconsciously decided to reward myself with days of absolute leisure. Let's face it, doing art is work.

Anyway, back to the art sharing part. And maybe—just maybe—I’ll actually hit publish this time.

I realised there are 52 cards in a deck which my lazy and attention span can deal with. Obviously I won't have kings so if I also remove the numbered cards, this project is likely to see a finished deck. Wish me luck on that.
