15 minutes of peace... Neo Gothic church somewhere in Ukraine.

Sometimes it doesn't take much to feel joy! Of course, the main thing for each of us is a peaceful sky! But in this part of the country rashists shoot only at night...

If you go to the border in Shegyni, you will definitely see this majestic church, which cannot leave anyone indifferent to its interesting architecture. So I suggest you stop for a few minutes with me and take a closer look at the building.

Іноді для того, щоб відчути радість потрібно небагато! Головне звісно для кожного з нас — це мирне небо!
Але по цій частині країни стріляють лише вночі... Та й сюди орки не спішать направляти ціль, бо ми майже в Польщі.

Якщо їхати на пропускний пункт в Шегині, то ви неодмінно побачите цей величний височенний костел, що не може залишити байдужим любителя архітектури. Отож пропоную зупинитися на кілька хвилин разом зі мною та придивитися ближче до будівлі.

My friends and I were returning from the Polish border in our own car (we were driving for volunteer purposes), so we could take a short break in the village of Tshchenets, where such a great Neo-Gothic building was erected.
From a distance, in the sunlight, the temple looks like a fairy-tale castle. The temple is a stronghold of faith. Perhaps this is exactly what the architect Mayersky had in mind. He designed the church, which was built in the 20s of the 20th century.
In the interwar years, western part of Ukraine annexed to the Polish state, and many interesting Roman Catholic churches in various styles were built at that time.
Unfortunately, some of them are falling into disrepair and are now in ruins. And this temple is active, the Roman Catholic community is quite populous here.

Ми з друзями поверталися з польського кордону власним авто (їздили з волонтерською метою), отож могли зробити невелику паузу в селі Тщенець, де зведений такий неоготичний красень.
Здалеку у світлі сонця храм схожий на казковий замок. Храм - це твердиня віри. Можливо саме це і мав на увазі архітектор С. Маєрський, який проектував костел, що був побудований у 20-х роках XX століття.
Ці роки — то був період розквіту польської держави, коли західна частина України також входила до складу Польщі. Отож в ці час було побудовано дуже багато цікавих костелів у різних стилях.
Деякі з них на жаль занепадають і зараз є в руїнах:(((
А цей храм діючий, думаю тут, поряд з кордоном доволі активна римо-католицька спільнота.

The sun was setting... We didn't have much time, so don't expect perfect shots. But this beauty is difficult to spoil. The tall tower and the blue sky with white clouds will be etched in your memory for a long time.

Сонце йшло до заходу... Часу багато у нас не було, то ж ідеальних кадрів не чекайте. Висока вежа дзвіниця і синє небо з білими хмарами надовго закарбовуються в пам'ять.

We were lucky, the church was open and deserted. Massive columns at the entrance, a typical Neo-Gothic altar, benches. And some special smell of antiquity.
