The Castle of Roccascalegna - perfect for a medieval experience🏰

Rocascaglia is an Italian town with 1251 inhabitants in the province of Chieti in Abruzzo. It is one of the eleven municipalities of the Aventino-Media Sangro mountain community. In the heart of this town is the castle of Rocascalanya, located on top of a rocky ledge.

According to this decree, every new bride from the village of Rocascalenya was obliged to spend her first wedding night with the baron, not with her lawful groom.
According to legend, one evening, when the next bride had to carry out the forced decree, the official groom of the girl, disguised in a woman's dress, killed the infamous baron.

Згідно цього указу, кожна нова наречена із села Рокаскаленья була зобов'язана провести свою першу шлюбну ніч з бароном, а не зі своїм законним нареченим.
Згідно з легендою одного вечора, коли чергова наречена повинна була виконати той примусовий указ, офіційний наречений тієї дівчини, переодягнувшись у жіноче плаття, вбив того паскудного барона.
