Part 1 HERE
The klaxon wailed, making her blood pressure spike. Grasping at her neck, she silenced the rising scream and choked it back down her throat.
Looking back and forth frantically, she familiarized herself with her surroundings. Looking down, she saw their hands were still intertwined. Her fingers felt stiff and numb from grasping so tightly through the night. She wiggled her fingers, and then began to shake his hand.
"Seven. SEVEN! It's the alarm!"
He was silent. Unmoving, he remained still.
She slid an arm, branded with a 6, across his back. Shaking him slightly, she called his name quieter, hoping to stir him into action.
"Seven, please. The alarm."
A toned, tanned arm snaked out from under the sheets. He tapped the top of the alarm with a muscular hand, branded with a number 7 across the top. Turning back to his love, he pulled her close against his bare chest.
"Mmmmm, good morning, my sexy Six. Welcome to another morning in the Blue Zone."
This is my third 5-minute freewrite of the week, thanks to the encouragement from @samsmith1971! hehehe this was SO fun! Thanks for pushing me to write Miss Sam! Thanks to @mariannewest for encouraging me to continue yesterday's story into today!

Oh yay❣️ They made it hehe. This was a wonderful double free write. Very cleverly written and steered. You now leave me with even more questions than answers !LOL Was it all a nightmare? One unrelated to their reality or did it really happen in their past? And now they get to awaken to the dastard normality of the incessant alarm clock too haha. hahahahaha no - they made it into the bluezone - and now they are just living a "normal life" but... the sound of that alarm will probably carry some PTSD with it for the poor woman for a while hahahahaha

I have always struggled with the 5 minute write as I am so damn wordy, can't help but distill and edit, and always start with the ending in mind which is probably the opposite of the intent.
