Power, a force both feared and revered
A force that can make one's heart swerve
It can be held by a single hand
Or shared among a band
With power comes great responsibility
For with it, one can shape history
It can be used for good or ill
And the choices made will echo still
Power can bring about change
But it can also cause great pain
It can be used to oppress and control
Or to uplift and make whole
It can be found in a leader's words
Or in a mother's loving herd
It can be held by a ruler's crown
Or in the strength of a single frown
Power is a force to be reckoned with
But it is not something to be fetched
For true power lies not in might
But in the choices we make, day and night.
