Yes, they looked very cute and beautiful when they are babies. I liked them , but I never had one as a pet; my brother did . He, as a twelve year old, used to "raise" chickens and roosters. It was like a trend back them or maybe as you said it is like part of being human and needing pets. Yes, and it ended dramatically: some chickens died and others were stolen 😂
