The Jenga Offensive part 4....Mixing Colors.

Apologies....I was unavoidably distracted yesterday by an unprovoked and malicious action against me (for using humor on hive)..this took my eye off 'the creative ball' as it were.

So here is my slightly late submission to the #freewriters community...

MIXING COLORS.

...While Hubba Bubba was thinking about 'man number 6', Nigel was trying to persuade his only friend 'Trevor the tick' to move off his now very itchy scrotum , and go suck some blood from the top of his thigh, instead.
Trevor wasn't listening, and continued to engorge himself on Nigel's ball sack, blissfully unaware of Nigel's pleas.

Kevin, who was on the other side of the world from Hubba, but not very far away from scrotum boy, was having his own problems...

....He'd always prided himself on 'getting the job done', you see.

He enjoyed nothing more than praise from above, from his employers, whoever they were at the time.
He still remembered the sheer joy that he'd felt when he'd made his first Big Mac all by himself, and the line manager had said to him 'well done Kev, you're gonna go far..'
Happy days...

But that was before....

Before everything in his life had fallen apart, and way before he'd thought up 'The Jenga Offensive' idea.

...As he lay there on the roof top, the last remnants of the methane powered flatulence dissipating from his rotund body, he winced.
Not because he was trying to hold his sphincter tightly to avoid any messy follow through, but because his uncontrollable fart attack meant one thing.

He'd NOT gotten the job done.

His job was not a 'completed job'.
He felt that he'd let himself down.
Not being employed any longer meant that he was now, his is own severest critic.

His self derision was a lifelong, unconscious, hobby of his. One in which he masochistically - and enthusiastically, embraced.

'I'm never happy, unless I'm making myself miserable', He used to joke to his friends.
They were the also same friends who never returned his calls.

As he scrambled to collect his things together, he let his mind wander back to the distant past...

THE NOT SO DISTANT PAST....
...Just as his home life was turning to complete shit, so was his employment status.
Being fired from his corporate office job was the last straw for Kevin...
That was when 'The Jenga Offensive' had started to ferment and then take root in his mind.

Completing the job at hand (the one that he'd just failed miserably at) , was all part of 'The Jenga Offensive', and he'd allowed his own traitorous, rebellious, sphincter, to stop him from finishing this important task.

Code Blue had to be aborted, the target had left the 'kill zone'.

Code Yellow had to be engaged.

He always used bright shades for his codenames - they gave him a sense of being in control when he looked at his maps.

He loved the feeling of being in control, which, in retrospect, may have been one of the contributing factors to his wife leaving him.
The handcuffs were nothing, and he wasn't really gonna use the whip!...

Mixing the colors up only led to confusion - and Kevin was very easily confused.

...Like that time he'd been fired from his last job.

...He thought that he was talking to a new friend of his. A girl that he'd met online, who wanted to be his friend. She liked whips.
...He'd never realized that he wasn't on a zoom call with her but with the Vice president of the company that he worked for!

After just one minute on zoom, he was told to empty his desk and leave the premises, immediately.
....Yes, 'Kevin' and 'confused' were intimate friends.

....As Kevin stood up and hurriedly set off to 'Code Yellow', and the new 'kill zone', he could still hear the mocking laughter that the Vice President had emitted when he'd unzipped himself...
