Normans Normally Normal Day - #freewrite - Little Stimulation

Today is a normal day, as normal as most days are, in fact there are so many normal days that whenever something is not normal it quite often gets missed as all the non normal days get normalised amongst all the normality.

So Norman got up, in his normal way and went and had his normal shower, stepped down the normal staircase and sat for his normal morning cuppa and oats. Knowing full well that after his normal breakfast he would again go about his normal day in a normal way.

Nothing out of the ordinary was going to happen on this normally normal Monday, or so Norman thought.

Unknown to Norman, because his normality was so normal that he never really p[received anything non normal, well not in a normal way anyway, that on the Sunday, which was as normal as any other Sunday, and ended quite normally as all Sunday’s do, Norman had had a visitor in the afternoon. It wasn’t that the Visitor was not normal, Norman often had visitors on a Sunday afternoon so all seemed quite normal with nothing that would even indicate that it was nothing but.

Normans visitor however was not Norman’s older sister as was the norm, but Normans younger sister which happened once a month , on a Sunday, the second Sunday actually and yesterday was the second Sunday so really Norman’s Sunday was quite normally normal.

Now normally Norman’s sister was quite normal and agreed that Norman’s normality suited him quite well, in fact it also suited Norman’s sister, not his older sister but his younger sister.

Norman’s sister enjoyed visiting Norman because he was so normal. In fact, she normally said, ‘ Oh Norman I do enjoy visiting with you, your normality is most satisfying and normal’

As a matter of fact she said this a couple of times during the visit, and on reflection Norman realised that this normal mentioning of his normality, not once but twice was just a little too much stimulation for the day and Norman remembered that it prompted him to offer his sister another cup of Tea, which was not Normal at all and in fact created a non normal dilemma for Norman.

Now Norman’s normal ration of Tea was thrown out the window so to speak, and this created a rift in the Normality, Norman was so normal that everything was planned meticulously to the enth degree and now Norma’s normality was in question because he was most certainly, in two weeks time going to have another non normal day to make up for the less Tea that he had, he was going to have to have a cup of Tea that was only have strength for him on at least one of those days before he could go about a normal shopping day in two weeks time.

Only a half strength cup of Tea was only going to provide Norman with a little stimulation, meaning that one of those days in the next two weeks was going to be far from Norman’s normally normal day of normality.

Normans normality was already being challenged, but in reality, Normans normal Sunday sister visit days always created a rift in Normans normality which in actual fact made Normans normal Sunday’s just as normal as the normal normality Norman normally had
