First day of vacation almost consumed. It wasn't a bad idea to take Friday off as I had a dentist appointment at 11 in the morning and I was a bit worried about whether I had to have a root canal or if it could be fixed with a complex filling.
In the end, it was the latter, the dentist told me that I have excellent dental quality and that it was worth leaving the tooth "alive" for the moment...although, the "reconstruction" was somewhat complex, I spent more than 45 minutes with my mouth open while the dentist worked on the area with multiple tools, needles, and materials...towards the end, I couldn't take it anymore.
I left the consultation with my lip folded and a feeling of a wide emptiness in the left side of my face that lasted until lunchtime more or less, I was careful not to bite my own tongue until that moment (LoL)...Well, I guess I'm not explaining anything new. I consider myself very lucky not to have had any dental problems to date, except for the extraction of a wisdom tooth a few years ago.
The truth is that I find the profession of dentist worthy of admiration... I know, I know... they earn very good salaries but, frankly, I don't know if I could be one.
You have to be willing to see a lot of dental disasters apart from being almost an artist to do a good job. In my case I think I would be more capable of being a surgeon than a dentist... or maybe not either.
I think I'll stay as what I am, an engineer.
