Enjoy the ride for 8 more years (at least)

Another year at HIVE, and now it's 8 for me...
It's incredible how time flies.
It seems like it was just yesterday I was searching the internet for a way to diversify my "meager" earnings up to that point by trading BITCOIN and mining the occasional coin with my graphics card.

How much we've learned since then, don't you think?

A few days ago, I published a post drawing an analogy between the phenomenon of natural disintegration and the death of many shitcoin projects we've survived.

HIVE (STEEM at the time) has been around for over 9 years, and we've survived many calamities.

If we can highlight one characteristic of our project, it's RESILIENCE. We're tough as nails, there's no doubt about it.

However, I'm afraid that the next BEAR market will be especially harmful to us.

Regulations are getting tougher, and it seems there's no project other than BITCOIN, which is fine since I hate shitcoins...
However, I can't classify HIVE (not STEEM) as a SHITCOIN.
For me, it's a different animal, one that doesn't promise to make you rich quickly.
In fact, I think its main mantra is to be CONSTANT and consistent to achieve sustainable growth.

Once you are, HIVE can help you with many "sustainable" things and may even be the solution to earning an extra income for people living in poorer countries, where every dollar counts much more than in more advanced countries.

HIVE doesn't promise the moon; it only promises a regular income if you've worked hard to earn it.

I find it challenging to reach $1 again for HIVE. I think our medium-term target should be closer to $0.30.
I think going back there for a while and holding on for a few months would be very good for everyone.

However, we mustn't forget that we depend directly on how BITCOIN does. HIVE and other cryptocurrencies are totally correlated with BTC, I'd say more than ever.

Buy HIVE now?
Yes, it could be a good time, although I don't rule out having to visit even lower and more painful price levels... that's why, in my opinion, the most important thing now is to STOP the BLEEDING, stop POWER DOWN, let the blockchain breathe a little, find HIVE's PRICE FLOOR, buy calmly with part of your HBD in savings, keep building, and wait again.

At least, that's how I see it: look for something sustainable in the long term, survive, don't try to dry the cow, instead, "feed" it and take good care of it, and enjoy the ride for 8 more years...
