Impossible

I have never lived a single day in my life that I could say was my day
I did not live
But I roll like a big, heavy pebble. My job takes me to the office, marriage drags me home, boredom drives me to the café, and hunger throws me to the table for food.
Anger overwhelms me to smoke and exhaustion throws me to bed
Twenty-five years of my life have passed as if they were nothing. I have increased in weight, height and width
But I did not increase in life year after year
And I sink into a soft land of orders, duties, and strange words
