Confliction Addiction
It's about the struggle. The day to day and the long term.
We try to make those ends meet.
Never enough of this or that.Worried about paying the bills.
Working at some job to keep bread on the table.
Then comes new challenges to pile on top of those.
Don't get caught in court.
Try to stay away.
Keep it simple.
But still things happen and you are faced with more.
The big C.
Conflict.
What would we do without it?
Live a relaxed peaceful life?
Or go quietly crazy from boredom?
The big C.
A blessing in disguise?
Or a curse to drive us to the grave?
I've noticed without it life lacks something vital.
It's like humanity cannot exist truly without it.
Even though we say we want peace,
we seem inevitably heading to war.
Fighting seems to be our nature.
Conflict our realm.
I don't mean a death wish.
I mean a life wish.
But life is striving to expand.
And opposing forces must exist
for life to push against them.
Otherwise we are just sailing down hill without effort.
When you see the confliction addiction we have,
our need to struggle, then life takes on a new meaning.
It becomes a game.
But not to be taken too seriously.
Just seriously enough.
Just enough to do the job.
No more no less.
Keep smiling through the pain.
Maintain grace under fire.
Living from day to day balancing what can't be balanced.
The scales keep tipping to one side or the other.
As we struggle on.
