I slip between frames
Of a two faced dreamer
A mind split
Winning with wit
Will I survive the civil time
When all words rhyme
A semi-pleasant season
When words of simple reason
Are laid gently in my ears
Quieting my fears
And making me believe
The violence I received
Was justly deserved
The beast is reserved
When fed the morsels it craves
But when starved it raves
And tears me to pieces
The horror never ceases
But for a short respite
When I threaten to quit
Giving it the attention it desires
Hoping that it tires
And flees to other suppliers.
