Risking a future your sons would have boast of
You sold your conscience for a penny
Enslaving the ones who trusted in you
Greed has eaten your root
And the fruit are left to face it consequence
The pillar that was raised has being corrupted
The labor of the labourers made to ruin
Everyone for their greed
Their stomach are never filled
Nothing goes for nothing
Their mouth shamelessly say

Corrupted by their greed
Ruined by their insatiable desires
Laws are broken, made to hold no water
They sit in their offices and suck up the wells
They rejoice in their evil
Unaware a day of reckoning await
You're qualify but you lack the resources
Their corrupted tongue spills out
Pay a million and the job would be yours
As They dig up from the poor
Dignity no longer holds important
Integrity no longer counts
Karma awaits
Awoken from it peaceful nap
Going to and fro for it victim
Heavily would the day of reckoning land on them
And all that's left is regret and vanity they made in their youth
Damn! This is a nice poem, corruption!! How people sell their freedom and future just for a temporary enjoyment.
That's it, thinking they're living large
Wonderful word for a theme. Today there are too many systems that have been and/or are being destroyed by corruption. Unfortunately, most of us play a small or big role in that system.
Brilliantly written!
Thank You, you've rightly said. Directly or indirectly, most of us play a part in the system
