WOEFUL - Art and Poetry

lone wolf.jpg

Staring over the arctic tundra
looking out to forever away.
Nothing moves, nothing grows,
and he knows he is alone.
He hears the way the breeze taunts
as it scrapes across the ice
and whistles through the stone
and he knows he is alone.
Tears form in his wind stung eyes.
He closes them and feels the pack
a moments dream that fades away
and he knows he is alone.
Staring over the arctic tundra,
he longs for a less lonesome life.
His woeful howl drifts off on the wind
and he knows he is alone.

The image was created by myself in Bryce and was the inspiration for the poem. Thank you for taking the time to enjoy them both.

Great poem
I like
Your metaphor in this poem very strong

Nicely penned down. I love it

Very nice poem and another great illustration, sometimes we feel like a lone wolf, but you have to keep going no matter what, cheers.

Excellent! I can see your words come to life, in my imagination.
