I ventured deep into my weary heart,
Greeted by darkness, cold, and stark.
I tried to light it, again and again,
But the flames would die, swallowed by pain.
I called for help, yet silence reigned,
So, through the shadows, I remained.
As I walked, silence began to wane,
Yet darkness stayed, a lingering chain.
Pain lingered there, an uninvited guest,
Sadness of the unknown, unrest.
Fears of the unwanted clung to the air,
A suffocating burden, heavy to bear.
Further on, a village appeared,
Its faint glow is neither bright nor clear.
A king called Facade wore his crown,
Beside him, Presence, queen of the town.
Sarcasm thrived in the citizen's jest,
Mocking laughs filled every crest.
Each land I crossed was steeped in fear,
Fake emotions everywhere near.
I neared the end, tempted to cease,
But then a glimmer disturbed the peace.
A radiant light, far away,
I ran toward it, but it wouldn’t stay.
The closer I moved, the further it seemed,
A fleeting hope, a distant dream.
I heard laughter, joy, and cheer,
Voices of truth and love are so clear.
Hope whispered softly, pulling me near,
Yet fading away, leaving fear.
Then came a voice, gentle and wise,
"Find yourself before hope dies.
Reach for the light before it’s too late,
Or darkness will seal your fate."
