Temptation

Temptation.

I feel you pull away,
drawn in by the negative energies
that swirl around you,
that threaten to consume you,
the empty promises,
that feed into your false sense of security.
I feel compelled, to keep you close,
yet I know that in doing so,
you will continue to spiral,
to lose your footing in this reality.
And then,
comes this desire to let go, the weight that pulls you under,
the expectations, that arise,
that feed into your insecurities,
Your fears,
they rise to the surface
and I fear you will drown.

The light that surrounds,
illuminating the darkness within.

Very cool poem, usually we always want the best for all our loved ones and close ones that if they fall into any temptation or any vice affects us a little in part, as long as it is within our reach we can help people by talking and make them feel good so they do not enter the world of darkness, very cool poem as always, hugs and blessings ♥

Thanks so much @joseitosanchezs, I always appreciate your feedback. I have not been so active on here recently. I hope you are well xx

This is a powerful poem that captures the pain of watching someone struggle. Honestly, it's always hard to know when to hold on and when to let go and I can totally relate to that feeling of wanting to help someone but knowing you might have to let go.

Keep writing.

Thank you David xxx
