RE: Why you should check out Snaps, the microblogging platform by PeakD

I've tried a couple times to recruit some photographers to post on Snaps. I see them struggle to gain traction with long form posts because they present a picture or two with little explanation. Perfect for Snaps but frowned on for long form.

I would think Snaps should be a starting point for new accounts. Get a feel for how things work: post, comment, and meet some people and then move to longer posts.

For me I love snaps because a lot of times I have photos that don't make for a long post but are perfect for Snaps.

Yes, it's perfect for photography. When you have created a nice series of photographs you can create a blog, but a single photo is perfect for a snap.
It also attracts users to your profile when you share nice photographs.
I've gained quite a few followers after posting pictures on snaps.

I think so too. I think it would be cool if Snaps could get a dedicated URL like snaps.io
Then you can market it like X and attract new users to Hive maybe.

I have gained some followers and also started following people due to Snaps. It also has led me to comment more than I probably ever have.

I would be interested in knowing more about the practicality of Snaps having its own URL. Seems like a good idea.
